I would **** if Rupert Thorne ended up in Reeves’ universe.
Ralph Fiennes too on the nose for Victor Fries?
I’d really like Mark Rylance as Freeze for some reason.
He’s too old imo. He’s more Alfred to me.
Ralph Fiennes is easier to imagine as Freeze and I like Rylance but couldn't see him going dark enough for Freeze.
Both would make a great Alfred though.
I don't think you need to put an age cap on Freeze. It'll just be the actor's head.
That’s OK when he’s in a super futuristic suit but that’s not what would be happening here. So I’d rather a Daniel Craig, Alexander Skarsgard. They don’t look weak and frail without sickness lol. Fiennes is my cut off for age and physique.
I think it would be cool if Freeze was weak and frail when he’s not wearing the suit
I get that his body is messed up and he needs the suit but there’s something that annoys me about the suit itself being this holy grail of safety and strength...that if it gets damaged Victor will just be some weakling standing there ready to be pushed over by a pedestrian lol. That’s why I prefer someone who doesn’t look physically weak as is.
Maybe it’s just my issue with the character overall (that the tech always feels like a easy device, and once he’s stripped of it, he’s nothing). I guess I love the characterization, backstory and the actor’s deep mechanical voice in the suit but the actual transformation and technology itself has always left a bad taste in my mouth.
Claes Bang for Mr Freeze
Timothy Olyphant for Ferris Boyle
Alexander Skarsgard for Man-Bat
Oliver Jackson-Cohen for Clayface
Jamie Bell for Joker
Christopher Abbott for Two-Face (30’s)
Matthew McConaughey for Two-Face (40’s)
Dave Bautista for Bane
Richard Jenkins for Ventriloquist
Riley Keough for Poison Ivy
Caleb Landry Jones for Scarecrow
Michael Stuhlbarg for Hugo Strange
Elias Koteas or Ray Liotta for Tony Zucco
Tim Robbins for Sal Maroni
John Turturro for Carmine Falcone
Colin Farrell for Penguin
Barry Keoghan for Mad Hatter or Firefly
Paul Dano for Riddler
No thank you.
I'm a better father than you, Batman!
I like this.
I guess I’m still holding out hope for a Punisher return though seems like the ship has sailed for that version of the character.
I will be genuinely curious to see if any of the Netflix castings actually make their way into the MCU proper.
So I just watched X-Men Dark Phoenix, what about Hannah Emily Anderson as Poison Ivy? She had a very small role as young Jean Grey's mom, haven't seen her in anything else. Kinda doubt anyone would notice her jumping from Marvel to DC since her role was so small too (and if she'd do one CBM, I'm betting she'd do another).
Rami Malek as Two-Face.
I’m half serious.
It’s a way better choice than Rami for Joker. But recently I can’t stand Rami’s acting. He was soooo terrible in The Little Things. First time I saw him in a role of authority and he wasn’t believable at all. Just awkward delivery and the smirk thing he does in everything just doesn’t work for more serious roles.
Raimi Malek as calendar man.
Rami can be Firefly cuz he looks like a bug.
I don’t know about Bernthal for Dent. Lock-Up tho....
I guess I'll try my hand at a couple
Donald Glover (Atlanta) -- Harvey Dent
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nocturnal Animals) -- The Joker
Roman Griffin Davis (Jojo Rabbit) -- Dick Grayson
Whoopi Goldberg (The Stand) -- Huguette Strange
Sonoya Mizuno (Crazy Rich Asians) -- Pamela Isley
Hugh Jackman (Prisoners) -- Victor Fries
I prefer to go a little less conventional with some of these castings/characters.
Did i just read “Huguette Strange”?
Woody Harlson - Hugo Strange
Yes! I tried to find a feminine form for the name but maybe just Hugo is alright
I know it seems like a jarring choice/change, but Hugo Strange is a character I never found that interesting. So I'd be open to a complete reinvention
Jamie Lee Curtis is another choice I've thought of as Strange
