Pretty good week. Batman & Two-Face has been great so far, but I'm very excited for this story to end so we can get to the quest for Damian Wayne's stolen body. Batwoman has been decent, but I'm still bitter at how DC handled Williams III's leaving. I don't think I'll warm up until that annual comes out to wrap up Williams III's story. Justice League is awesome, especially during Forever Evil, but Pandora has consistently been the weak link of the Forever Evil: Blight crossover. Amazing X-Men has been a lot of fun, so I'm excited for that. I haven't decided if I'm going to continue with Daredevil after it relaunches due to finances, but I'm at least enjoying it for the moment. And while I initially thought All-New X-Men was Bendis' best book, I feel that it's taken a slight hit post-Battle of the Atom. But Uncanny X-Men has seemed to improve, and I'm enjoying it quite a bit more than All-New.

Below average sized week in quantity, but a $4.99 annual essentially means I'll be paying $20 for five comics.

We will have Chris Samnee's last issue on Mark Waid's DAREDEVIL before it's immediately relaunched with a fresh #1, a hike in the cover price by a buck, a new artist and a new setting. This has been an Eisner winning run with steady sales around 30-35k per month, which has seen some upticks based on word of mouth. One hopes Marvel didn't just taint this with a quick cash grab for some quick bucks off retailers for an issue or so. Overall, though, a great run.

People who complained about YOUNG AVENGERS being too trippy, too hip, too unfocused and too "kewl" should check out NEW WARRIORS. It actually features two members of the old team (which is more than one can say of the last attempt to revive the series) and it looks like Chris Yost is set to produce a more traditional young superhero series. If you didn't like the oddball teen hero book, here's the more traditional one. I'm psyched for it, actually, especially coming off Yost's great SCARLET SPIDER run.

For the record, I did some research on IRON MAN ANNUAL and it apparently will be a reprint for a digital Marvel Infinity story that Kieron Gillen & Al Ewing did in late 2013. I didn't get that so I'll likely buy it here. Those that did, though, don't be fooled.

I use to do it when they very first started doing that (when I was doing the list originally, they didn't, and released the indies with all the other stuff). I got lazy mainly because I figured no one cared since no one around here seemed to ever post comics from it outside Phea, who bought every comic anyway. But since we have at least one person who cares, I don't mind doing it if I can find the time.

At this point I accept that as the default price for anything launched as a part of "All-New Marvel GOUGE", er, "NOW". When I went to the shop this week, my clerk and I literally did a surprised double take when we saw that SHE-HULK #1 and MS. MARVEL #1 were both priced at $2.99.
