Alliance-Alive_09-13-17.jpg

Atlus will bring Atlus The Alliance Alive to 3DS both physically and digitally in the Americas and digitally in Europe in early 2018, the company announced. It will cost $39.99 / €39.99 / £29.99.

Here’s an overview of the game, via Atlus:

With writing by Yo****aka Murayama, a vision realized by director Masataka Matsuura, beautiful game designs from Kyoji Koizumi and a stunning score delivered by acclaimed composer Masashi Hamauzu, players will experience the nostalgia delivered by these JRPG greats. With gorgeous world exploration,’ an intertwining story involving nine memorable characters, and strategic, turn-based gameplay mechanics, players won’t want to miss this return to JRPG excellence.
One thousand years ago, Daemons invaded the world of Humans. They subjugated Humanity and created the Great Barrier to separate the realms. The world was thrown into upheaval, and the Dark Current was born. It carved a cross-shaped swath across the ocean, swallowing countless cities in its wake. Humanity was decimated. Hundreds of years later, Daemons rule atop a hierarchical society. However, the time for resistance has come. The world is about to change yet again…
Built on a sprawling world replete with numerous secrets to discover, players will need to establish and unite guilds throughout the four realms while battling the Daemons. Use the “Ignition” system, a part of the turn-based combat that allows for deep customization and nuanced gameplay, to reach an enhanced state and deliver devastating Final Strikes. In The Alliance Alive, players will need to keep their wits about them and think strategically to win each fight!

The Alliance Alive will launch physically and digitaly for 3DS in the Americas and Europe on March 27, 2018, publisher Atlus announced.
As previously announced, a special launch edition will also be available in the Americas that includes an exclusive CD with 20 tracks, art book with more than 30 pages of detailed illustrations, and a Robbins penguin key chain.

In addition to the release date announcement, Atlus has relaunched the game’s official website and released a new trailer introducing the Daemon characters of the party. Here is an overview of the characters, via Atlus:
First up, we have the mighty, no-nonsense, Beastfolk Barbarosa. Although he was once used as an instrument of war by the Daemons to enslave humanity, he is now a key member of the Night Ravens resistance group. His skills with an axe and loyalty to his friends are valuable assets in the battles to come. Up next, we have the dynamic duo of Vivian and Ignace. Vivian is a fox-like Daemon from another world who wishes to learn more about the curious creatures known as humans. She’s a compassionate being that harbors no ill-will towards other species, but don’t let her bubbly and friendly disposition fool you. Vivian is an extremely powerful sorceress who won’t hesitate to use her powers for good. Finally, we have Vivian’s servant, Ignace. Even though he’s extremely pompous towards non-Daemons and clashes with some members of the party, his loyalty to Vivian is unwavering. Plus, he’s pretty good in a scrap, so never count him out!

The Alliance Alive third character trailer

Meet Gene, Rachel, and Tiggy.

Alliance-Alive-PV_12-20-17.jpg

Atlus has released the third official character trailer for The Alliance Alive introducing “neutral” characters Gene, Rachel, and Tiggy.

Here is an overview of each character, via Atlus:

    • Gene – A signimancer which is a special type of mage that uses artifacts to wield magic, who belongs to the Signimancy Guild. He tends to look at the big picture and avoids acting emotionally. He is valued by the Daemons for his knowledge and eloquence.

    • Rachel – A mercenary employed by the Signimancy Guild. She’s the opposite of Gene, with a fiery temperament, impulsively acting as soon as an idea pops into her head. She often argues with Gene because of their contrasting viewpoints. Though they argue, Gene and Rachel do set their views aside to fight for the cause.

    • Tiggy – A young girl researching the global threat called the “Dark Current.” She calls herself “The Genius Professor” and has used her intellect to create strange inventions. Don’t underestimate these inventions just because of their silly animal looks … monsters can’t stand against them!

The Alliance Alive is available now for 3DS in Japan, and will launch in the Americas and Europe on March 27, 2018.

The Alliance Alive combat trailer
Published 19 hours ago. 15 comments.
Get to know the "Ignition" system.

Alliance-Alive-PV_01-11-18.jpg

Atlus has released a new trailer for The Alliance Alive introducing the game’s combat system.

Here is an overview of the trailer, via Atlus:
Each character has a collection of “Battle Arts” that’ll unleash a fury of attacks on opponents. In the middle of battle, spark an “Awakening,” a mechanic that can randomly trigger when using Battle Arts.

These “Awakenings” can either level up the art being used or unlock a new, related art. Keep using your Battle Arts and the “Ignition” gauge will build up. Once full, unleash an ultimate attack called a “Final Strike” to deal some major damage against enemies.

Attacking enemies, taking damage and having a party member get KO’d all also build up the gauge, so think strategically about how to approach a fight.
The Alliance Alive is available now for 3DS in Japan, and will launch in the Americas and Europe on March 27, 2018.

The Alliance Alive
is a role-playing game developed by FURYU Corporation and published by Nippon Ichi Software(NIS); initially releasing for the Nintendo 3DS all the way back in 2017.

Earlier this year, NIS America announced that the game was getting an HD remastered for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC(Steam); besides the graphical enhancements, however, The Alliance Alive HD Remastered pretty much offers the same JRPG experience than the original title on the Nintendo 3DS.

Today, as The Alliance Alive HD Remastered finally becomes available for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, we get a new trailer that lets us appreciate the graphical enhancements that the game has received.

Sadly, PC players will have to keep waiting for the game to release, since The Alliance Alive HD Remastered still doesn't have an official release date — although it is expected to launch at some point in 2020.

It is also worth mentioning that today is the North American release date for the game, as The Alliance Alive HD Remastered is scheduled to release in Japan on the 10th of October, and in Europe on the 11th of October.

Check it out:

Humanity has been shattered by invading Daemons from another realm. To reclaim their home, an unlikely fellowship of heroes will band together to spark a fiery revolution. Explore various Daemon-controlled realms, awaken your inner strength in the heat of battle, and form alliances to amass a force strong enough to stand against the invading forces.

The Alliance Alive HD Remastered is available for the Nintendo Switch today.
