The new season has been announced! This season will be comprised of previous teams who never won, but were 'unforgettable' and is set to premiere on February 20th.

In keeping with previous threads, the first post will continue to be updated as events unfold.

I loved it when the Globetrotters came to the slide and were like "don't do it baby, it aint worth it" LOL

Teams shown in the promo include mother/son Margie and Luke, the Harlem Globetrotters Flight Time and Big Easy, dating Goths Kynt and Vyxin, father/son Mel and Mike, brothers/bull riders Cord and Jet, sisters/athletes LaKisha and Jennfer, poker players Maria and Tiffany, a capella singers Connor and Jonathan, father/daughter Gary and Mallory, father/son Michael and Kevin and home shopping hosts Brook and Claire, both from the most recent season.

I guarantee we will see Jeff and Jordan again. Like it or not. I would love to see all of the pairs already mentioned in the thread.

I'd love to see Jeff and Jordan get another shot. They are definitely one of the more high profile pairings who didn't win.

They seemed to be a polarizing pair. Those who didn't watch BB mostly loved to see them again, but those who didn't, just didn't like them or didn't care. I would really like to see them get another shot.

I have no clue. The first and only time I have ever heard about it, was when he was plugging it on the show last year. Nothing since.

The home shopping channel duo has confirmed on the Early Show a week ago that they are actually not in this race. Claire is preggers.

Also of note, the singers are likely not a part of this because Jonathan has been getting ready since Oct. for a Broadway show.

There are a few notable teams from the promo that were not seen by spoiler reports. I guess the race might start out with more teams than have been reported but there could be heavy eliminations early on, like that team a few seasons ago that failed their first detour and actually never got to race.

Here are the bios of the teams and reasons for their downfalls:


Season 12:

Ronald and Christina Hsu, father & daughter, 2nd place; Placed twenty minutes behind winners TK and Rachel for final leg largely due to their cab driver taking them to a wrong location costing them 40 extra minutes.

Kent Kaliber and Vyxsin Fiala, dating goths, 5th place; Last to arrive in a non-elimination leg the previous show, Kynt and Vyxin had an extra Speed Bump challenge to perform in order to stay alive. They were eliminated after their cab driver cost them precious time by getting them lost.

Season 14:

Margie and Luke Adams, mother & son, 3rd place; Placed 3rd after Luke struggled with a Roadblock challenge consisting of recalling trip events during their final leg.

Amanda Blackledge and Kris Klicka, engaged (dating in Season 14), 9th place; U-Turned by Margie and Luke which resulted in their elimination.

Jaime Edmondson and Cara Rosenthal, former NFL cheerleaders, 2nd place; Placed behind Tammy and Victor largely after the girls had a team cab ride meltdown (which had them at one point calling 911 for directions during their cab ride when their cabbie refused to call dispatch for directions).

LaKisha and Jennifer Hoffman, sisters, 4th place; Eliminated after finishing just seconds behind Jaime and Cara. They would have easily avoided elimination but the sisters inexplicably stopped before the finish line to let Jennifer use a washroom to pee.

Mel and Mike White, father & son, 6th place; Eliminated after a physical challenge to move 100 barrels placed them just slightly behind the Hoffman sisters.

Season 15:

Zev Glassenberg and Justin Kanew, best friends, 9th place; Reached finish line in their leg in first place but in the process lost Zev's passport. Being unable to complete the leg until the passport was found, they were eventually disqualified when the other teams all finished in less than a half hour while Zev and Justin were still out looking for it.

Herbert "Flight Time" Lang and Nate "Big Easy" Lofton, Harlem Globetrotters, 4th place; Eliminated after Globetrotters took a time penalty rather than have Big Easy complete a Roadblock challenge. The Roadblock had racers answering phones to learn five letters and then unscrambling the letters to solve "FRANZ" as the correct word.

Season 16:

Jet and Cord McCoy, brothers & cowboys, 2nd place; Cowboys came in 2nd place when eventual winners Dan and Jordan were able to move seats up to first class and exited plane well ahead of the them.

Season 17

Gary and Mallory Ervin, father & daughter, 6th place; Eliminated after buying a map that didn't show the mountain access road that the teams were supposed to use (they took a 9 hour trip to wrong side of mountain).
