By the looks of it, if they do go with having Rhino in the movie. I doubt they're gonna go the ultimate route with the mechanical suit. I doubt a Russian mob gangster would be able to control a huge mechanical suit. So now I'm thinking they're gonna go with the cross species Rhino.

Cross species Rhino would be so lame. And you're right...it's probably unlikely that a random mobster would be able to control a huge mechanical suit...hence, he tries to operate it, and he can't, resulting in him losing control and the suit going on a "rampage". I think that's a far more likely scenario.

We got that in the game and I really didn't like it. But that's just me. Besides, if Max gets his powers via a cross-species accident (electric eels as rumoured), I feel like a cross species Rhino is pushing it. Some villain varation would be nice....no reason for every villain to be biologically enhanced.

i'm hoping for R.H.I.N.O. makes more sense for a mobster type to be after military grade hardware as opposed to some kind of biology-based drug.

as for whether he can control it, i think it might just be something we have to suspend disbelief towards. maybe he gets the instruction manual along with the hardware itself lol.

but yeah, cross species rhino would be disappointing to me.

I think THAT might be Rhino, guys. I think the flying taxi is actually just hit by that runaway truck in the Rochester shoot. I don't think Rhino is going to be....well...Rhino. I could be wrong, but I'm willing to bet this is the most we're getting.

I wouldn't mind if he's a cross species. I mean, a robot suit modeled to look like a Rhino is probably equally as ridiculous. They could start to branch away from the cross species theme with Green Goblin. Since he uses a glider and other tech.

And why not? How is it any less likely than a lame half man half Rhino? Oscorp isn't just biological science....Robotic engineering is a factor there as well. Not trying to shoot you down here...but a mech suit is really just as likely as anything else....considering we've seen nothing yet And considering that his suit in the 616 comics is an actual suit (not mechanized, but a suit nontheless), it makes more sense, to me, to have it be a suit and not a cross species experiment gone wrong.

electro isnt turning into a half man half eel, so i don't know that it is a certainty that paul giamatti becomes half man half rhino.

the guy isn't built for 616 rhino either, so a robotic suit controlled by him seems like the best option (it also happens to be from the ultimate comics, which this series is drawing a lot from)

Yeah but Dr Connors didn't have the build of a huge giant lizard either.
They'd just use CGI if they go with a cross species Rhino.
They're also taking a lot of inspiration from the 616 as well as the ultimates.

i'd say the latter is also possible, although if that rumour from a while back is true we will be seeing a "rhino suit" in some shape and form.

RHINO as the gang name would be a cool idea actually, but to tease us like that and not give us the actual Rhino would be a massive letdown....he may as well be RhINO (Rhino In Name Only....see what I did there? ) I really don't think that's going to happen, especially considering Giamatti wanted to play the character.

but we have to question why are they making a tech suit that looks like a rhino? unless there will be a cheat around it, maybe the horns will be added later by the mobster

yeah i agree, i'm just thinking they won't want to retread the lizard angle, especially when he was pretty poorly received.

paul is a much more entertaining actor compared to rhys ivans imo, so turning him into a cross species seems like a waste of good casting.

but yeah, you have to remember that the lizard IS cross species, in all media, he is a giant lizard-man.

rhino on the otherhand... well, there's much more variability there, but besides the lame video game tie in, they have all kept the augmented human angle.
