You read the ASM script?

As I've said before the novelization was practically the script and with evidence that the scenes existed. You guys can even pick it up and see for yourself. I've never felt this *****-slapped since I saw what Daredevil could have been (and became in the director's cut) and saw what it was in theaters.

As I've said since the beginning, you add back in:

- Connors with his son
- Connors and Ratha and Peter in the sewers
- The original Peter and Connors scene with the chalkboard (it was obvious they cut this scene for time)
- The dinner table in its entirety.

And you have more of an overall focus. There were little scenes in ASM that could go, little cutesy scenes or moments that would have left room for these more character building moments.

Does ultimate hero secretly work for Sony?

Close, but a different company.

There was a novel? I can't find anything on it. Who wrote it?

It was called strands of web or something odd like that, flip back or page or two and you'll see the picture. Or go on amazon, it's the Peter on the wall with spider emblem poster with red lettering.

Yeah, novelizations are the closest you're gonna get to a script since the author reads the script prior to filming and he puts all of that in the book. Whatever is in the book is in the script.

Especially Jr. Official novelizations have the time to go and spend time on things that may never be filmed or intended to be filmed. But Jr's typically have no time but to put what was exactly in the script on the page and even then it might not be able to include it all.

Maan I sure hope cutting MJ out of ASM2 so Dane Dehaan, Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Felicity Jones, Marton Csokas, BJ Novak, Martin Sheen, Denis Leary and their respective characters can have more room pays off...

seems like webb bit off more than he could chew. again.

what is it with this series and deleting entire plot points/scenes/characters?

i guess when kirkman and orci said they would never include a villain that didn't feel organic to the plot, they had, dare i say, divergent opinions on secondary characters like mary jane.

No more Mary Jane during filming? Script troubles ahoy.

she wrapped Filming long ago and their scenes were small......why you keep coming here just to say things like that? i mean im not saying you can´t but ...why?

It looked liked she had ten-to-fifteen minutes of screen time. They probably want to dedicate that to something else. I don't mind.

Are my pants supposed to be tightening with this news? I don't come in here and gush. I love the costume...what more do you want? If the movie is good then the movie will be good. Too many people on here throw babies in front of cars to grab their phones when Webb posts an obscure twit pic. Omitting a major character from a movie (even though her role may not be huge) is a very important and telling part about production. I would be worried if I were you. I am not worried though, Webb's job is to impress me.

Im not worried about what happened, things happen and thats you roll with it

"I would be worried if I were you." Seriously? Come on everyone, lets freak out because a character with a screen time of ten minutes or less is being taken from the movie!

It doesn't say that much about the production. It's not like Harry or Norman are being cut from the movie, and unless the release date gets pushed back, I don't think we have a real reason to worry.

Because it means all is well in Sonyland! Amirite?

it's gonna be interesting when the movie comes out; any superfluous characters/scenes will be all the more annoying given the loss of mary jane's introduction; which is arguably important given what she means for peter after the death of gwen.

all these villains seem to be in tasm2 in some respect, yet they cut out mary jane? seems ridiculous lol. i mean, what is more important? setting up peter's future lover and confidant, or the vulture?
