This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]461617[/split]
I'll give you that, I've always thought of The Lizard as Marvel's Wolfman. Not Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, who I believe is The Green Goblin for Marvel.
They showed off Peter's intellect, which wasn't in featured much in Raimi's trilogy.
Agreed but Peter ordered the webfluid from Oscorp, didn't invent it himself
It's better than nothing, I suppose.
3. Spider-Man, for the most part, was still Peter Parker in the suit. There was hardly any confidence, and little to no quippage. Aside from these:
"Here's your change!"
"It's you who's out Gobby, out of your mind.
"That's a cute outfit, did your husband give it to you?"
"Hey kiddo, let mom and dad talk for a minute, will ya?"
"I guess you haven't heard, I'm the sherrif around these parts"
I agree but Spidey can't be quipping all the time, sometimes it becomes annoying (see car thief scene, it was funny but went on for too long).
I think that's the point of Spidey. Not really to be funny, although he has his moments, but to throw his enemies off their game so he can defeat them easier. A perfect example is Rhino, which I hope they address in TASM2.
4. Gwen was shoehorned in and added no purpose to the story besides getting Mary Jane mad at Peter.
I was contradicting that guy's statement that there were new characters added in TASM
My mistake, then.
5. The Crane Scene was fine, and it was subtle cheese at most compared to Raimi's entire trilogy.
I'm sorry, Spidey gets shot and he needs cranes to swing across??? He swings using his hands not his legs. That scene was cheesy, don't deny it.
Funny how his LEGS support him and allows him to move faster, which is obviously what he needed to do considering there was a giant Lizard threatening to turn the people of New York into lizards as well.
Cheesy? I still don't think so.
Nothing gets more cheeser than the people of NY throwing garbage at The Green Goblin.
6. The skyscraper was fine, also. It showed off Peter testing his new abilities and "live in the moment" attitude. About it being broad daylight, he was falling so fast that nobody would recognize him. Plus, this was before he suited up.
It was a cheesy way of Peter testing his webshooters. There are other ways he could have done this
It wasn't cheesy, at all.
7 See #4 (he, like Gwen, was USELESS).
See what I said about contadicting that Guy's statement.
I wanna make it clear, I liked TASM . The movie could have been better, but once again SONY stepped in and meddled with the film and we ended up getting a re-hash of SM1. That's why I'm optimistic about the sequel and the fact that those hacks, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman wrote it![]()

Really? Go watch Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness.
I see no point in arguing anymore. No matter how right or wrong you, or I, may be.
That's a great attitude, man! *respect*Man I don't get why you guys get so worked up about some internet creature's opinion. I have it easy really. I'm a huge fan of Spider-man, I love that character and he's the only comicbook superhero I care about. Only his movies I crave to see and I'm the happiest fan when I go to see them. So when someone diss the movies I just roll my eyes and say "whatever, don't watch it then".
Spidey fanboy and proud!![]()

Wow.Yeah, I like to dismiss others ideas and opinions as well, no matter how informed they may be.
Ignorance truly is bliss!
Wow.

Wow.
Your own opinion takes priority over others, because in the end, you either enjoyed the movie, or didn't. That is NOT ignorance.
So is there a way to create a block list on these forums?
How long do you guys think the teaser/trailer is going to be?
Yes it is. Your little opinion is not the be-all-end-all. If you want to live in your own insulated little bubble fine- but don't try to justify it. The truth is that there are people in the world who know things you don't, who have interesting and informed things to say on a topic that can shed new light or make you think of it in a way you hadn't previously.
So yes, burying your head in the sand and saying "my opinion is all that matters" IS ignorant.
Wasn't from me, but I get what you mean.![]()
I saw the news that the trailer will be released tomorrow. How friggin awesome is that? So excited. I'm glad they gave us a heads up when we'll be able to see it.
Another thought, what if the 'Doc' that Electro was talking to was in fact, Otto Octavius?![]()
I would argue the points TeeKay is trying to make about TASM, but after doing virtually the same thing with countless others for 2 years leading up to TASM, and in the few months following....... I just don't have the will to do it anymore.
I like ASM, and I like what I've seen of ASM2.
You have your opinion, I have mine.
I see no point in arguing anymore. No matter how right or wrong you, or I, may be.
1:30 to 2:00 probably.
You come off as rather condescending more than anything else, let me tell you that. Its not like we are talking about politics. We are talking about movies... entertainment. I didn't say you should completely turn the other way and ignore other opinions, but in the end, what matters most is your own. Its NOT ignorant, my friend, unless you want to become a sheep and follow what everyone else thinks.
