The storyboards clearly show [BLACKOUT]Harry hulking out growing fangs[/BLACKOUT] and all. If you think CGI won't be used there, you're kidding yourselves.

honestly i always expected Vid Electricz to find dozens of problems with this film but if lots of others are unhappy with this news, i pitty you

I think people are allowed to be pissed off. Let them but don't try to explain things to them because you see it differently. Personally, I'm not happy but at least I'm waiting to see how this plays out but it's pretty much confirmed [BLACKOUT]Harry will be Goblin[/BLACKOUT]. I have no problem with that, my problem is that they going the [BLACKOUT]Ultimate[/BLACKOUT] route. That's my disdain torwards it.

I think people were expecting to much to early on, because they knew GG was coming so they already planned it out in their heads

With say Nolan everyone already knew he takes liberties with comic lore so they were not expecting it to be to loyal to the comic and so are more forgiving

I'd say that original storyline in the comics planned it out in their heads for them.

With say Nolan everyone already knew he takes liberties with comic lore so they were not expecting it to be to loyal to the comic and so are more forgiving

Nolan, whilst making a few cosmetic changes, was very faithful to the spirit/core/dynamics of the characters. Making Harry the Goblin first (and having him possibly kill Gwen) is more than a superficial, cosmetic change.

Just because you're ok with the changes, that doesn't mean everyone else is. Be nice. Fans who love their source material have the right to be pissed off. I'm ok with it, but I'm not going and say statements like what you just wrote.

Okay, then I ask: What is Harry's motivation (in the space of one film, which already has a primary supervillain [Electro]) for hating Peter and killing Gwen. Either this is going to be mad rushed and unsatisfying, or the movie will be 4 hours long. Which is more likely?

I'd argue that this change trashes the father/son dynamic of a low self-esteem Harry trying to live up to, and follow in the footsteps of his overbearing father.
