one thing that must be this time in the movie , running out of webs

I'm just curious as to what would have happened if Spidey didn't let go of the webs in your avatar, haha. Loony Toon effect.

Well, THIS is very interesting.

(Take away the spaces.)

HEAVY spoilers ahead, if this is true.

Possible spoiler were posted at CBM.

First up, Electro (Jamie Foxx). We're told he will not be wearing anything close to his classic green and yellow outfit, and to "think Ultimate version". Again, not really unexpected. The character's civilian alter ego Max Dillon will be an Oscorp employee - oh, and that pic Webb tweeted with the morgue number? Nothing at all to do with Venom (no Eddie Brock appearance either) it's actually where Dillon is taken after his "accident". We're told there will be no Green Goblin in this movie but LOTS of teasers and foreshadowing for the next movie - apparently Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper) hasn't been cured yet and is still dying. Now for the big spoiler: Just as most of us suspected, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) will indeed check out in this film, but perhaps more surprising is that it's been hinted - note we don't know this for certain - that this won't even happen at the end, and Stone's role may not be very large at all. Like I said, that's speculation based on how the info was put across, but I personally wouldn't be surprised in Gwen buys it around the beginning of the third act, giving Spidey a reason to go off the deep end and seek revenge.

Thoughts? Be sure to sound off in the usual place.
I have a hard time believing this honestly.

I hope that's bull****. I want the symbiot in this! :argh:

I'm kidding btw. :o

Only the Goblin should kill Gwen.

Only the Goblin should kill Gwen.

Simply being Goblin-related would have an impact, imo. As long as Spider-Man gets to do or say a variation of this...

... I'd be happy. Norman could pull the strings behind it, Gwen could be put in danger as a result of a direct command of his, in order to get leverage on Peter. There are many ways to do this.

If Gwen is killed by someone else than the green goblin, I'd be very disappointed...

What would leave me disappointed is if [BLACKOUT]she actually dies at the start/middle of the movie. For full effect, it should be a big third act brick.[/BLACKOUT]

As would I. Its just too iconic an aspect of the Spidey / Goblin relationship.

you know what would make me really mad , if Marc posted in april 1st "meet Electro" and is a guy in a cheap Electro costume or something like that
Oh you KNOW Marc would do something like that. Lets see what he boils up.

I'm not really looking forward that much to seeing Electro's look tbh. They already said it's nothing special, just a slick black suit and a glowing blue face

What I really wanna see right now is proper full body pics of the new costume
Man I have to agree with you. There's only been a couple of words on Electro's suit, and it does sound kinda boring. Unless the black suit had some cool stuff with it.
But I'm dying to see some official pics of the suit as well. Mostly the belt part haha. And the web shooters! Gah I feel like I'm the only one ha.

I doubt it.

It's possible she may have small part in the film since there is a *possible* break up scene and then makes apperence in the third movie only to be taken out by Goblin.

Also, Sony or Webb wouldn't take the risk for this because it's suppose to be the greatest scene in comic book history.

they didn´t say Electro will kill her , they wouldn´t reveal it so early , i believe the villain origin and the teaser for the third , don´t you think maybe is like ala Harvey Dent in TDK that the main villain is involved in the origin of the second and the second villain appears at the final act but in this case it builds up for the third?

Well **** me sideways...if Green Goblin isn't responsible and if Gwen dies by the hands of someone like Electro instead...I may have to punch a cat.

Oh, and I will not be surprised if some fans of Webb's series will be totally fine with the change in the end(if true) :funny:

come on guys , Stop the Raimi vs Webb stuff , can´t we all enjoy both?
spideycomparison1-gif.gif

Except for Spider-Man 3, I can enjoy Raimi's Spidey.

And if TAS-M 2 is good :oldrazz:

I wouldn't mind if Gwen's get "killed" by other big villain, as long as she's thrown from somewhere high and her neck does a "snap" sound because of Spidey's web. That's the drama of the comic, not Green Goblin doing bad things.

Soo... If it's Venom from a skyscrapper, I'm fine with it :D

Really? Its okay to replace one of the most iconic acts of Spidey's arch-enemy with a similar act from a third-stringer villain?

I'm all for movies making improvements / reinterpretations of the comics, but that seems like a major leap backwards.

I personally don't want to see Green Goblin in the sequel at all. The death of Gwen Stacy deserves its own movie, save it for the third film. I don't even care if they recast Gwen if Emma Stone doesn't return. Oh and if Gwen Stacy dies at the hand of any other villain other than Green Goblin, Marc Webb will be murdered by geeks the world over.

Count me in as disappointed if that spoiler is true. But, for now, I will respectfully call BS.

Green Goblin wasn't that big of a villain before Gwen's death, that's were most of his fame came by. And I don't consider the one of many examples I could have given, Venom, a third-class villain, and even less the Ultimate version.

Also, I don't like Electro to do it, there are better villains to do it.

They HAVE to save her death for the 3rd movie, with Goblin. If they do it here with Electro, not only would everyone hate it, but there would be no reason to even have Norman in these movies if he can't pull his most iconic move of all the Spidey comics.

Yeah, send that to Sony, Webb and Avi Arad. ^

Why are they rushing her death, is it because Emma Stone won't return? It just makes perfect sense to have the third film with Green Goblin and the death of Gwen Stacy. This builds massive anticipation for the third film.

Plain and simple, Gwen's death needs to be saved for the 3rd act of the second movie or third movie.

Preferably the second, with a full Goblin story in the 3rd.
