i smell bs on the latest big rumour for some reason...

I wouldn't be shocked if it was true. Usually when you hear terrible things, it's usually true. It's usually not true when it sounds amazing.

The man's going to the trouble to take pics and post updates. How about a little less entitlement and a little more appreciation?
It's not hard to tweet a pic...like literally 3 button pushes. Marc Webb will live if people think his photos are getting old. Just wait until day 100 of filming and he is taking pictures of shoes and the craft services offerings.

If that's the case then I guess he shouldn't reveal anything at all, right. Why show fans anything if they are not interested in the news?

Speaking of entitled fanboys...

It doesn't matter how hard it is, the point is that he's choosing to engage with the community rather than maintaining radio silence. Don't like the pics? Don't click on them, or links that lead to them, and don't participate in any of the discussion they generate. Problem solved! Meanwhile the rest of us can appreciate that he's making the extra effort.

If you don't like the photos, they're easy enough to ignore. I don't think anybody's suggesting that we should be thanking him on bended knee, but I do think we should appreciate that he's taking time out of his day to share stuff with us and make us feel like we're a part of the production. They're not much, but they're something. How many other films are getting daily updates?

if tasm2 ends up being more foreshadowing at the expense of a self contained story, i will be pretty annoyed.

I don't know if I'm in the minority here, but I think TASM1 definitely was and had a self-contained, standalone story. Just because there are other, smaller plot lines and undertones that are left to be resolved in later installments, doesn't necessarily mean the movie isn't complete. I personally like how there's (from what it seems) going to be strong ties from one movie to the next, instead of completely standalone independent movies with borderline unrelated plots. That's just my opinion tho, not griping or praising either way

and before anyone jumps me ha, even though it seems like basically the center of the trilogy (which it very well may be) I consider Peter's parents' "mystery" a 'smaller' plot line because this story was, is, and should be about Peter and him becoming a hero

I wish he made more of an effort on the first film. Bazing!

I have no pony in this tweet pic race cause I don't give a dump about analyzing madeup fanboy scenarios about Venom in a reflection but he really doesn't need to do it everyday. Once a week would be fine...which is about the average of actual good photos that have been tweeted. Marc can do whatever tweeting he wants, that's fine. He is also a big boy and doesn't need Internet warriors to proteg himz.

i think they are going to delve deeper into the parents story this time round.

fair enough, i appreciate your opinion, i just feel like a bit too much was left unresolved in tasm1.

Wouldn't entitled mean I felt as if I deserved a picture everyday?

No, in this case it would mean you were complaining about the quality of something you were freely given, or trying to downplay the effort of said free thing. Either way the attitude sucks.

Try again.

No. I was right the first time.

I like that he does it everyday. It at the least gives me something to look forward to, knowing for a fact I'll be getting something spidey related each day mon-fri. I don't care if it's something inconsequential, I think it's still really cool to see behind-the-scenes stuff/set pieces, even if we have absolutely no clue what it's supposed to mean. Those are things I'd otherwise never get to see, and to me that's pretty cool.

And then there's the chance his daily reveal actually is something big, which it has been a few times, so it makes it even more fun to look forward to.

Just my thoughts, but I personally see absolutely no reason on Earth why someone would be upset/irritated/turned off about him doing this when he could easily give us absolutely no info or contact at all during the filming... that's just me

But Peter's parent's deaths were Peter's motivations for the entire first act that then goes unresolved. It's the reason he gets bit and given superpowers. That entire plot line is then dropped completely. Then Uncle Ben's death is the second act framework and it gets dropped when Connors becomes the Lizard. I would hardly call those small plot lines when 2/3 of the movie's plot arcs are dropped solely for sequel bait. This is the only superhero movie I can think of that so ****ishly did that. It hurt the movie.

I'm getting tired of these pics already. Is Webb really planning on posting pictures throughout filming? How about post-production too? Lol.

More cranes.So much win!

Aces.

That's the other thing I didn't really understand... are people that are on the side that's more or less 'against' the daily photos suggesting that we should either get something big/important every single day or else just give us nothing at all? Cause to me that also doesn't make any sense either. Not complaining, just wondering if that's what they're thinking

I definitely understand that criticism, and why some people might be annoyed by that. I'm not saying I'm right or wrong, but I personally wasn't bothered by that.

Regarding your points at the end, I'll have to respectfully disagree. I was completely satisfied at the end of the movie for the content that was within it, and simultaneously excited for the sequel due to those plot lines still needed clarity/resolution.

Like I've said tho, that's just me and I can definitely understand why others might not be as ok with it as I was

No. I was right the first time.

Entitled isn't complaining about the quality of something free. Entitled is demanding or feeling deserving of something. If someone hands out free candy and I say it sucks...that is not being entitled.

Try again.

I can definitely understand that sentiment. Cause I agree, the movie does start out seemingly opening a couple'a big can of worms then afterwards turns kind of small and intimate, focusing on a few key characters instead. I ended up being ok with that cause I thought the story they ended up telling between the characters was great, but I can definitely see where you'd be coming from. They kind of start off big then end small ha

So it makes you a whiner, then. Nothing new here. If you're comfortable with that, great! It's a role I'm sure you're already comfortable with.

Well now, there's always not coming here looking for updates, avoiding them completely, that is, if you're truly tired of these pics. :o

And pass up the opportunity to *****? Never!

And I really like the crane scene, but that picture is freakin hilarious I died when I first saw that

You must be kidding yourself if you don't think the update pics show up on other places that I visit besides the forums, lol.

I think great Markus Webs is gives us mor ephotos for teasing. Tease and whet our appetite and hunger to see the spider glide as he does through the night.

I just hope the biology of film is more realistic with regards to spiders than any other films on spiders ever made including ones made by Dead Evil director Seamus Raimi, otherwise known as "Sam."

The biology of spiders is key, they don't shoot web from limbs or legs... they should from back... how will that be tendered to and addressed for in the movie. Spider should be respected and have rights after all, they are living being.
