They weren't really going to give away more about the untold story in TASM1 anyway. Just some more hints like, "do you have any idea of what you really are?" or "if you want the truth about your parents, Peter, come and get it." But we were never supposed to get answers in that film.

yeah I thought that was a given. If anything the most untold story in the first movie was what Oscorp connection to Spider-Man(and other villains) and Richard Parker is and a different way off telling the Spider-Man origin(well as different as Mark Webb could/wanted to tell it without straying far away from the basics of Spider-Man's origins)

So who else loved the
Jameson 'cameo'?
:p

Am I the only one who has no idea how they are going to achieve a Spider-Man villian movie (S6) with no Spider-Man?

@matt47

You said on your first viewing you didn't know what you were watching because the movie was so far from what the trailers made it out to be

Any chance you could elaborate? Like what exactly was so different about what the trailers displayed, and the actual film itself. Is it that it was way more light-hearted and cartoony/comic-booky than it appears in the trailers?

Please and thanks

Sorry to butt in but he means how much of the trailer dialouge was cut or changed in the final release, everyone has been saying the same thing, It's weird that such a big production mainstream movie was hacked to **** in the editing room.

thing is wasn't the film already 2 hours 20 minutes even with those scenes cut? maybe it originally went way over 2:30 and they had to cut and change a fair bit to get the story moving quicker, i mean the scene with goblin at the window looking at [BLACKOUT]Felicia[/BLACKOUT] may have been a cool scene but may have been slowing the story down

No need to apologize mate! Ok that was the other assumption I had. Thanks for the clarification

I definitely understand 'voice overs' in trailers not being in the actual movies. Trailers do that all the time. But it's so weird that so much actual footage ends up cut and scrapped or altered, esp for a movie like this. Hope they knew what they were doing!

I had no idea there was a S6 movie on the cards. That being the case they should have pushed more S6 into the spin off to reduce the running time of ASM2.

Ah man that was cut?!? :csad:

I hope SMH's second review is not posted on RT for a while. At least until the overall score goes up a little

Saw Draft Day last night. Good film. A film where Pa Kent hooks up with Eleckra, Captain Stacy is the coach for the Browns. The Browns draft Jackie Robinson and have Superman as their QB. Also General Ross coaches Wisconsin.

I see why IGN would give it a better rating than TASM2. It's a good film especially when you're a Browns fan.

There was also a Spider-Man joke. GM asks the owner, "Are you going to the Draft?" Owner replies "No I'm going to see Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark."

Man, I just hope all these cut/swapped scenes make it onto the Blu-Ray, at least.

Yeah it was ok. I remember reading it was supposed to be about the Jets but then Geno got drafted there lol.

Lol. How would you rank the action sequences in all the 5 films? I know this is a clichéd question but I would like to know

I'm not going to list every single action sequence in all of the movies, but here's my top 10.

1. The clocktower sequence with the Goblin in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

2. The bridge sequence with the Goblin in Spider-Man (2002).

3. The crane sequence in The Amazing Spider-Man

4. The final fight with the Goblin in Spider-Man (2002).

5. The final Electro fight at the power plant in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

6. The police chase and the first swing in The Amazing Spider-Man

7. The bridge with the Lizard-sequence in The Amazing Spider-Man

8. The final Doc Ock fight in Spider-Man 2

9. The train sequence in Spider-Man 2.

10. The first New Goblin fight in Spider-Man 3.

Phew............
