I hope not. Why rush her death to happen in this movie?
Electric Eels? All these TSSM references...
Then the rumor of Harry being GG?
Gwen dies at the end of TSAM 2 and we're led to believe its Harry till the third movie?
That's what I'm thinking...
And there's also that time when someone referred to Dehaan as "he's the goblin" during the Kill Your Darlings premiere. And recently Jamie Foxx also said something about Dehaan.
jury is still out for me (id prefer it be a freakier accident though (like 1 in a zillion of a chance) by having hims struck by lightening at the same time or after the goo is on him, thus making it completely next to impossible to reproduce the ability (this was a major complaint about TASM as well.. in that anyone could theoretically go into the spider-room, get bit, and become a spider-man. Unless we discover in this film that the spider was zapped by this "special" electricity from one of these "special" eels idk... either way i just don't want to feel like all these powers are easily duplicated.
I'm ok with this being how he gets his power, it's a bit more thematic than working on a power line and getting zapped with no real explanation as to his survival... and this also explains why he looks like an eel..
but that being said, i'm still not sure of how i feel about electro now being an "eel man" it may be easier to forget on film once i see it.
yeah, they really should take the Hobgoblin mystery route with this one... everyone will suspect norman, but making it harry, or making us think it's harry is a bit smarter. I also wouldn't be opposed if they through flash into the mix (like ned leeds) either...
Isn't the eels thing from Spectacular Spider-Man?
Suit design looks pretty awesome in those set pics, but am I the only one who thinks it looks a bit too loose?
Yeah I see the eels as being more just a way to link Electro to the animal genes theme. I mean, yes eels are electric but they don't shoot bolt of lightning and blow up cars. So they'll probably be more symbolic of what the is than literally what he's supposed to be. After all Connors was full on Lizard. Dillon is just a "vaguely eelish individual" (which was the name of my punk band in college. just kidding.)
That will be fixed in post production
Probably true. I'm not complaining or anything, it's just that I can't fully appreciate the suit if it doesn't look like it is a final product.
How? The first suit was skin tight even in unofficial set pics :l
"Don't say stupid or wrong things" -WesMan
I wouldn't mind if it happens due to Electric Eels, but I don't know about this whole trilogy being about Cross-Species.
Oscorp could be harnessing the electricty of eels. Maybe that chamber that Marc Webb tweeted a pic of, the one where he's pretending to fall in, houses the eels and Max accidently falls into it, and something happens that allows him to gain powers. Perhaps the eels are genetically engineered like the spiders that Richard Parker was working on? Lol and some people on CBM are saying they're tired of supervillians "who accidently get their powers". Name a single interesting Spider-Man villian who intentionally recieved powers lol like went out of their way to recieve powers besides GG, though in some incarnations the formula is what warps his mind into insanity.
Problem with that is it doesn't say we will actually see the green goblin, so if this is the case it may not be exact like the comics like maybe pictured in everyone's head, which means there might be a little cheat around it but still keep the part she dies, which I dunno if that's what people want, as long as she dies y'all happy
But still take all this as a pinch of salt
Hey can somebody give me a real answer please?
Bro. I don't know how. They use movie magic and such. Or maybe it will look sort of looser. I'm sure they know what they're doing.
You will be surprised what they can do in post
I love how people defend at the littlest thing such as me saying I just prefer the first suit.
I'm not a fanboy that cares about something being so faithful to the comics. The personality is the most that I care about, not the look. And the risky suit in TAS-M was just fine because I applaud directors in wanting to do that, such as the TDK(R) suit for example as well and that's one of the few pros I have with the first film, the suit being something new and refreshing.
It'll be nice if you two knew a damn thing, but who am I kidding, right?
I didn't even like Raimi's suit, but you two go ahead and think what ya want
Real answer is the first suit wasn't skin tight.
yes/no, he was covered in the goo the eels swam in, but did not become a "human eel"
lol, yeah i just am going to probably have to see him on film to decide if i like "Eel-ectro" yet... id prefer it if he were human though
So does that mean...OsCorp kidnapped a real goblin and that how's Norman turns into GG? Lol.
hopefully, I love the suit (don't get me wrong) and that's my only complaint, but TASM suit was much sleeker and form fitting, which i will indeed miss that aspect
-Scropion, Jameson and his creator totally knew what they were getting him into... Mac did not, but it wasn't an accident
-Black Cat (when she went to Kingpin to get her real life bad-luck powers)
-Ock is a mix...the welding to his spine was an accident, but he loved his tentacles quite alot, and quickly took them after the accident
-Kingpin of course, not an accident, but also no powers
-Carnage is up for debate... he was just in the right place at the right time essentially
-kraven (no accident their, just skill and tribal medicine and Calypso's magic)
