Oh yeah, because we all know how high quality TASM1's suit was in it's set pics. And btw your "flaws" about the design or merely opinionated. The eyes have recieved VERY positive reactions, and are a lot more emotive than any of the other Spidey costume's eyes. It give it a bit of a stylized look, which is good, that's a sign of artistic integrity and something that makes it unique. And please, the only cue it takes from Raimi's suit is the raised webbing, NOTHING else. The material of the suit is clearly different from Raimi's, it's
similar to TASM's in that it's
metallic and leathery looking, less soft looking than Raimi's. It doesn't have the muscle suit, the Raimi eyes, or the Raimi spider.

That reminds me so much of when Spidey is right outside JJJ's office window in the old animated show. Then suddenly he's in his office on the ceiling. Man I know theyre juggling tons of characters already but the Bugle is an essential part of Pete's story when are they going to introduce his job there into the story?

You get done telling me how my "flaws" about the design or merely opinionated (sp?), and then you go on to list your own opinions about why the costume is so great as a counter argument. Nice. The eyes are more "emotive"? "Stylized"? Is that a fact? lol.

btw. the TASM2 costume also swipes the very unique brick pattern from the Raimi costume. That along with raised webbing are two HUGE swipes. It's like if you're copying off of someone else's test and you get caught, but use the excuse that you only copied two answers.

The first costume had raised webbing too.

Like the suit, just miss the previous spider on the front and the sneakers on the bottom, and I liked how it had a thickness to it. Really I'd prefer the other suit but this'll do fine.

Not impressed. Not even the TASM suit looked cheap in the set pics.

The belt is too thick. Those boots... they look like they should be on Frankenstein's monster. The eyes... why is everyone going happy nuts over them? They're too big. The Raimi/Webb eyes where perfect IMO.

Just need to see this thing in action. See how it looks on film.

It's definitely good, but I agree that the first suit did have a little more character to it. If only for the fact that it looked incomplete and kind of a "work in progress" type deal. I get the natural evolution to a new costume, which is why I really want to see him go from old to new in this movie, but I wonder if it became to perfect too soon?

I love the eyes, probably more than the first suit, and I definitely don't hate it, but yeah, I definitely think the first suit had something the new one doesn't. Of course I'm basing this off set photos and not actual stills. The first suit had a tendency to look pretty horrid in set photos but great on screen. Probably gonna be the same deal here.

I can't help but think of the kids whose parents assure them that they've got 'great personalities' whilst not telling them they're ugly as sin. :oldrazz:

This pic in particular makes me kinda makes me wonder if Spider-Man is investigating about Max sometime after the incident.

It's a shame he doesn't seem to look as thin and gangly as he did in TASM.

I'm pretty sure he's telling the truth. I mean he posted pics from the set, presumably from the same guy who leaked that info.

The way the first suit was designed, helped make him look sleek too though.

Stop bickering about costumes. It makes me embarrassed that the stereotypes about our kind are true. It's depressing.

Nature of the beast, man. Wait until the film comes out and see who's left bickering. And then the costume changes again for the 3rd film.

There is nothing wrong with discussing things about the aesthetics of a film. The only time it gets idiotic is when a film gets judged soley on a specific aesthetic as either good or bad.

That's when I shake my head.
