The Amazing franchise has failed to really surpass the Raimi trilogy in any way though.
I think it was more about seeing potential. ASM1 might not of hit any great heights but you'd be hard pressed to say it wasn't a decent effort as a first up film in a reboot. Unfortunately they took this one too far in the wrong direction.

Here is what I don't get. Why Electro if you are doing the Goblin story as well? Why relegate Goblin to the final act? And why use Electro as the main villain and just shove Goblin in there at the end like Venom?
Man if you only give TASM a 7 and it is the best one to you you must hate the other ones lol
t:TASM1 had better writers. It makes all the difference.

I think TASM2 surpassed SM1 and SM3 and was on par with SM2, there are some things that Raimi did better, some things that Webb did better.kind of agreedyeah I agree that some things the did better and I like them both.

Two years ago you guys said they were going to do Green Goblin "right" this time.
The thing is, Raimi already got it right in 2002.
Maybe these movies will make us appreciate the Raimi films more.
