The Amazing franchise has failed to really surpass the Raimi trilogy in any way though.

I think it was more about seeing potential. ASM1 might not of hit any great heights but you'd be hard pressed to say it wasn't a decent effort as a first up film in a reboot. Unfortunately they took this one too far in the wrong direction.

Here is what I don't get. Why Electro if you are doing the Goblin story as well? Why relegate Goblin to the final act? And why use Electro as the main villain and just shove Goblin in there at the end like Venom?

Yeah we need that. I have liked ever spider man movie so far but the rami ones didn't have spiderman persinolity and the villans in webs are worse the ramis though. Maybe we need to have web and same co derect the movie lol

I'd say TASM is still the best Spidey film to date, even if I only give it a 7/10.

With these questions, I agree. They ****ed up the villains in this film.

However, I do concede some pretty significant flaws in TASM2. But still factoring them, I hold Webb's series higher than Raimi's.

I was bummed when they announced O & K as the writers for TASM2. I hope their weaknesses get wiped clean off of TASM3.

Emma Stone > kirsten dunst. Webswinging is better than the raimi franchise. CGI is overall a better experience. I think other things are done better but they're more just opinon, the webswinging is probably objectively better because of technology, same goes for CGI. Obviously Emma Stone is subjective but almost everyone loves her as an actor, so there's that I think TASM2 surpassed SM1 and SM3 and was on par with SM2, there are some things that Raimi did better, some things that Webb did better.

SM1 I gave a 6/10 which is right on the edge between acceptable and bad and I give SM2 a 6.5/10. SM3 is like a 4/10.

So I didn't loathe them but I've never been a fan of them.

Spider-man 2 is over rated I must say lol. But I'd still give it an 8 for appreciation.

SM1 is my personal fav of the Raimi trilogy, and I find SM3 a guilty pleasure. I don't hate it like most, but time has not been kind to it like SM1 and 2.

Of course ASM2 completely blows every one of those out of the water, so I don't even care anymore.

spider man 2 is now underatied has far has I am conserd still by far the best spider man movie and the CGI hold up great and still the best fight in the train fight and still up there for best CBM ever!

Steve Kloves.....wrote almost the whole Harry Potter franchise.

Two years ago you guys said they were going to do Green Goblin "right" this time .

The thing is, Raimi already got it right in 2002 .

Maybe these movies will make us appreciate the Raimi films more.

I think we should reserve that judgement for when we actually get the Norman Green Goblin.

If we are comparing the Harry ones I'd take this one any day of the week over SM3's.
