Bottom line, until they put real effort into creating a spider-man game ala the Batman Arkham games, they will all be mediocre. Thats all there is to it. The best way to create a Spider-Man game (and ive said this hundreds of times) is to basically create GTA with Spider-man and his villains in it. A lush living breathing super detailed New York, filled with plenty to see and do when you arent playing the story missions. In GTAV there are plenty of police chases, etc that pop up during gameplay that happen on there own. Real shoot outs and car chases that would really push spidey skills to the limit. Not this generic crap taking spidey and throwing him in bland lab or sewer environments for 80 percent of the game.

I completely understand the time, effort and money that went into GTAV will not happen for a Spidey game, but they could TRY to do something along those lines. It would really open it up to include the Peter Parker portion of the game, running around town, snapping photos, etc.

I think better examples would be Watch Dogs and Infamous: Second Son. I would like to see something similar to those games tried out with Spidey, at least when it comes to the open world aspect.

That reminds me of a comment someone said in his review of Spider-Man 3 for the PS2 (IGN fan review): "Spider-Man makes the worst puns, he needs to learn from Deadpool or the Flash"

Hig Moon Studios has been implemented into the COD development teams apparently.

Soon, Activision won't have any franchise outside COD and Skylanders.

Yes they have and with that they have lost my respect for them, Treyarch on the hother hand has my respect for making awesome spider-man games spidey 2 is one of my favorite games and I still have it though I wish I had it for ps2 I only got it for gamecube

If at least that teaser trailer showed something I would be complaining so much, but since it didnt show ****, what the hell?!

The movie releases in the overseas markets on April 16-18th but that doesn't mean the game will release during that time or even by April 1st. The movie releases in the States on May 2nd so I would speculate that the game will release at that time, give or take a week in either direction.

Despite originally being excited for all the stuff they announced (open world, SM2 webswinging, Peter Parker, etc.), all that excitement has died down by now. It's is pretty clear by now that this game will follow the usual Activision routine of **** being released at the very last minute to hype up people more than they usually would be.

BTW Is this going to be a continuous cycle for all the upcoming years? *****ing over Activision and what should be done with Spider-Man as opposed to what's actually being done? Because that sounds very depressing.

It sounds depressing cause it is depressing. And yeah, any possible excitement I may have had, which I never did, is certainly gone by this point. I can't say I'm angry or even surprised really cause this is that same BS marketing they did for the last game. We won't see any actual gameplay until moments before the game releases. Poop.

My main complaint is that the game was too repetitive. Otherwise I enjoyed it. Fighting a symbiote Electro, Wolverine, and so on was pretty cool as well. The fighting style was also very intense though.

I agree about the voice actors, but other then that I really enjoyed WOS. it's my favorite spidey game so far.
