Aside from the web swinging and the occasional mechanic, i.e. web swing kick, WoS was a crap game. The voice acting was horrid, the seemingly non-stop glitches and screen tears, horrible collision detection, etc. Overall just a very poor experience imo. I also hated that you couldn't free roam after completing the main story.

^ In a game with a plethora of issues, yes, it is a negative point. Had the game offered a free roam past the main story with additional crimes and objectives, that would have at least improved the experience.

You mean something like having all problems present in each chapter of the game and more during free roam, and you can deal with several of them at once?

It would've actually made a superior game in addition to the story mode, considering the things to do that game offered are limited per chapter

I remember coming home disappointed about Spider-Man 3, but I picked up the game on the way home and was hoping it would cheer me up. I think you guys can finish my story.

I still don't understand most of the disappointment stemming from that game
I guess it is like someone said in CBR, the thought of the movie has its effect for the game carrying the same name

So did Activision lose the Marvel rights or not? I remember hearing about that when 2014 started but we've had no update since then.

If true, then that is a fantastic way for Spidey to start off the new year, along with Peter coming back in the comics and his big movie this year.

If false, 2017 can't get here soon enough.

Slott is still writing the character, and he will continue for a while after Peter's return. Don't think that news is fully glorious for someone not being a fan of Slott on Spider-Man

As for video games, I don't know why I'm showing this much interest in this game, I hoped to make LEGO Marvel the last new video game I get on permanent basis, but this sounds like quite a promising sequel to an alright game, at least in one tiny detail

2) It isn't set in stone yet. Slott might go write Silver Surfer and leave off on what he thinks was a high-note run.

I think the only reason it sounds "like a promising sequel to an alright game" is because they're looking to improve on the open-world and swinging mechanics. Despite the potential for this to be much better than the first game, it still looks and sounds very subpar.

I hope he writes Moon Knight, he said he's interested in writing the character, and I'm willing to give his -hopefully happening- run a shot

There is the chance of glitching and that not working, even if you make sure the Symbiote Vulture fight ends with you in red allignment

I think it was confirmed Peter is coming back. Ramos is still doing the art, unfortunately (I don't care much for his style either). Slott is also presumably coming back, but he might leave to do Silver Surfer.

Not to go on too much of a tangent, but I think Slott's run will be remembered as one of the worst Spider-Man runs to date. I'm not interested in reading any of his future projects after Spidey.

Realistically speaking, what would happen to Spider-Man games if that is indeed the case?

Not asking what you want to happen; just what would realistically happen. Would Disney/Marvel make them? Would they sell/give the rights to someone else? How would they be different than the Activision game in terms of quality? etc.

It depends about who gets the rights, For Activison Spiderman its just a side game if some publisher who cares about Spiderman and wanna do something bigger with i think we would get great Spiderman games.

I think that 2k,Ubisoft,Bethesda heck even EA would been great publishers for Spiderman games.
