Someone suggested this, what if the suit gets darker if you become a menace and brighter if you become a hero?

I really don't want that, but it doesn't seem impossible.

I liked the camera sometimes because Spidey's character model wasn't small like it was in Shattered and even Sm2. For swinging I think its a catch 22.

Sounds bad. It's probably just the lighting in the game. And like I said, never go after screenshots. Always look at the footage first if you want to know what it looks like.

I didn't really how bad this game looked until I saw this photo:

That would be flat-out stupid! Lol.

I think they tried a little too hard to match the vibrancy of the movie... The original ASM game looks better graphically. (Based on what we've seen.)

I don't think it's the graphics that are bad, it's the style (which is more cartoony and vibrant as opposed to something realistic) that is making it look bad.

It does not look as bad as it does on the picture. If you watch the most recent trailer you see how good the IG Spider-Man model and city looks. The opening shot of Spidey sitting on the rooftop at night alone looks far superior to anything you can find in TASM1.

And I'm happy that we FINALLY get proper AA for next-gen versions. Just look at how jaggy everything is in the TASM1 screen.

The ASM cap does look better graphically but that shot looks to be from the final product that was released. Whereas we have no idea what stage of development the bottom pic is from. I remember prior to ASM the game's release they were including pics and even footage in trailers that were from early on in the development process. We may be seeing more of that here. It's difficult to tell.

The ASM cap is underwhelming in comparison to the ASM2 cap. It has no AA or atleast no proper AA. People should stop saying that TASM2 looks bad just because they don't like the suit colour being so vibrant (and I'm almost 100% certain that it wont look that way in the final game).

Where did he get that footage from (@SevenWebHeads)?

//EDIT: Nevermind, he got it from some report about Quebec employers (Beenox interviewed and Dee Brown and his "chocolate factory" etc) I think. It's the only footage of the game in there (you get to see a bit more of the city -> someone working on the model etc.).

Woah?

Mind sending a link?

What is anti-aliasing anyway?

Look at the TASM1 screen on this page. Look at the Spidey model, do you see how jaggy the edges are? It's flimmering. Anti-Aliasing is there to prevent that or atleast smoothen it out a bit/decrease the flimmering. PS3 GPU was too weak to have proper AA (or AA at all), 360 could pull a bit of AA off but that didn't really change that much.

Aaaah, I've noticed that but I didn't know that it had a name. I've heard so many PC Elitist talk about AA but I never understood it.

It's part of the reason I can't play GTA V for longer than 30 minutes to 1 hour. The non-existant AA is just too heavy for my already bad eyesight and my eyes start to "bleed". It's sad, I really like GTA V but it seems I'll have to wait for the PC version before I can enjoy it properly.

It would be cool if when we go to Oscorp roftoop it triggers some kind of flashback or some line that Spidey says to Cap.Stacy like "I will do my best to protect Gwen Captain" like in Arkham City in the street that Bruce parents died.

Couldn't agree more. It's shocking to say the least that there were literally zero eastereggs in the first installment. I would've atleast expected a few lizard claw marks ontop of the Oscorp tower (but hey I understand, they didn't have time to add the final Oscorp tower to the game).

Still waiting for story DLC. There is infinite money potential, literally. Imagine a flashback DLC that lets you play through a short TASM1 movie story final fight? Now that they got the proportions right I want such a DLC even more (tiny Spidey vs a gigantic lizard)!
It was really underwhelming to see what DLC they released for TASM1. They promised big things: "people have to understand that when they get the game this is not just the copy they have, we will release loads and loads of content for months after the games release" (they said something like that in an interview). I don't want lame challenge maps, it was nice to play as Rhino but it was also boring because it was a minigame that didn't give you much freedom. I want Story DLC.

The Amazing Spider-Man game looks really great in my opinion.
I can't now because my Ps3 broke, but I just loved swinging around with the cam so close to a realistic looking Spider-Man.

Too bad they went with a more cartoony look this time around.

A story Dlc would be nice and recap the final battle with the Lizard too.

TASM or TASM2 doesn't deserve a story DLC. Only good-great games do that aren't movie tieins. Hell I don't think Arkham Origins deserves a story DLC and it doesn't but I can look past that because Mr Freeze is my favorite villain and it's a remake of Heart of Ice.

Sorry bud but i have to disagree with you. Your vision of great or good games are different than mine,it deserves and buy who wants.

You said that Origins didn't deserve a dlc and you still are gonna buy because Freeze its your favorite villain, it same thing to spidey he couldn't deserve a story dlc but i'm gonna buy anyway because i love to spend more time with my favorite hero.
