Aziz, can you explain to me the whole "Sinister 6" confirmed thing? I feel as though I missed the announcement. Isn't it just speculation at this point?
I don't follow the news, don't care to watch spoilers before watching the movie
I barely touch anything Spider-Man while waiting for the movie, the only exception is watching new episodes of Ultimate Stupid-Man

That show is painful to watch...

It's too sarcastic with an obsessive amount of slapstick humor.

Yes, it will be on PS4/One 100% sure. Probably, with a "light" version of it for PS3 and 360.

And, of course, it will come out in May, when the film releases.
Ah nice. I don't know much about video games or how long it takes to make one so thanks for clearing that up. Too bad I won't have a PS4.

Cause I don't want people with an X-Box One to have one. :D I'm selfish like that.
Ha!

Apparently, Beenox has been making the TASM 2 since shortly before they finished the TASM 1 one, so they have been doing it two years.

For everyone wondering whether there will be a TASM2 game, there's always been a game for the Spider-Man movies. Beenox even confirmed that they were working on Spider-Man 4 until they got the call that it's scrapped (they used the base they had later on for TASM).

Nice to see there are still discussions going on for TASM2 video game, the official forums sadly "kind of" died (hardly anyone posts there, no dev communication at all etc.).

Are they planning on releasing another game before TASM2? Before TASM1, we got Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

Bleh, I sure hope not

Peace Tim, welcome aboard :)
What official forum do you mean? HeroHQ?

I forgot my username there
I can tell you I'm that guy defending Spider-Man 3 and hating on Web of Shadows & Shattered Dimensions

Spider-Man 3 was the best Spider-Man game out there, better than Spider-Man 2 (the webswinging was more realistic and overall the graphics, if it only wasn't so badly optimized on the PS3). I liked WoS (never played SD because I hate level based Spider-Man games with a passion since SM1) but I also hate the apocalypse storylines in Spider-Man games. It just feels so cheap and "plan b" like for when you are too lazy to write a proper story. The only good thing about WoS was the combat on all surfaces, graphics + story etc was bad IMHO.

I'm also only a fan of movie based Spider-Man games because they are (most of the time) more grounded/with realistic graphics and I love to relate myself to the character in the game (something I usually can't do with comic style games due to the lack of realism). That's why I was the one who started the "request" for a Peter Parker mode as a DLC for TASM. Being Spider-Man is also being a normal guy with every day problems to solve (I'd love to have quests where you go to school and it triggers cutscenes, hell I would even go as far as doing minigames in there for "marks"). There should be mini games like meeting Gwen or Harry, get eggs for your aunt or whatever they can think of.
I can guarantee you I would spend more time in Peter mode than in Spider-Man mode, I like to roleplay in games (I even sometimes play e.g. GTA games that way).

:highfive:
I like to see more people agreeing with this, I think Spider-Man 2 did some stuff better, choice of swinging style is one
The one thing I really like more than anything in WoS is the swing kick, it has the best swing kick in a game

I didn't realise there was going to be a game for this but I'm glad there is because I really like the first one. I hope the webs actually at least go close to the buildings this time though. Also the building's felt really small scale when compared to Spider-man.

The swinging was the least of TASM's problems. It just wasn't creative enough.

I think the swinging was dope. I liked the camera's closeness. And I think the webs do stick to the buildings although that's what my complaint was, was that you don't actually see the webs attatch to buildings lol.

I think in order to get an AMAZING Spider-Man game, they need to combine the best elements from Spider-Man 2: The Game and Ultimate Spider-Man. There needs to be a lot of detail into New York City with more things to do in the game environment (otherwise whats the point in having a Sandbox game when there is nothing to do?), similar to how GTA games are handled.

Imagine a Spider-Man game that is just as detailed as GTA V... :wow:

Nah ASM's webs virtually go straight up compared to other free-roam Spidey games. I did like the close camera as well but like I said I think the building's needed to be bigger to compensate.

Sure.
The only reason I believe they stick to buildings and we just don't see them, is because if you try to shoot a web with no building in site, it won't work. It only works with a building nearby.
So if they really do just attach to the sky, it would work every time but it doesn't.

The webs attach to nothing. In order to compensate for this the devs limited you to areas with buildings, but it isnt flawless (you could still swing above a park or above the highest building).
That was just their way of making it a bit more realistic (if they wanted they could've let you swing everywhere, hundred of metres above the highest building etc.).

Dear Beenox,

Please make a living breathing NYC this go-around. One with a never-ending plethora of organically occurring events and a superior web swinging experience.

Thank you,

UWH.

Ah. I guess you guys are right.

I would like to see the webs attach to the buildings but then again SM2 did that and that camera was far! How would they successfully manage to do so
