Poor Beenox. I'm sure they are probably following Activision's orders.
Well we can prob count on getting GG as the villain for the 3rd tie-in game. But man, all I really want is a 3 year developed comic book based game with lots of resources for the developer to make a AAA Spidey game. Sadly, this is not gonna happen for a while.![]()
If Beenox isn't into the game, my bets are on Raven Software.
Raven Software would be totally awesome! That would definitely be a step in the right direction.
I guess though unfortunately that it's more likely Beenox will make the next Spidey game as well, just with even less time. Activision will never learn!
If given to another developer, I think the Prototype team is more likely than Raven Software. Unfortunately.

Radical got shut down though![]()
Ah didn't know that, thanks for the info! Then I guess there might be a chance of Raven Software developing it!Though as I said, I do unfortunately still think that Beenox will make the next one with even less time in their hands.
i hope not (beenox are so mediocre) lol.
as for raven software, they don't make their own games anymore apparently. ever since sales for wolfenstein and singularity were poor, activision have reduced them to helpers on call of duty titles.
it's a shame too, i heard singularity was pretty good.
maybe high moon studios? they're certainly a step up from beenox. this of course assumes that their team is big enough to do two projects at a time (deadpool and a spidey title)
edit: SORRY OSCORP, i misspoke; radical still exist, albiet in a much smaller capacity since prototype 2 bombed. i guess they are kind of in the same boat as raven.
ugh, this has made me depressed - i hate that activision own the rights lol.
ah, i didn't know about the deadpool team being shut down (i still want to play it :P). that would imply that the game isn't too great and that the rest of high moon were working on something else. i wonder what that something else could be...
maybe activision are done with spider-man games, and will just release a cheap IOS tie in kind of like what happened with iron man 3 and man of steel.
naughty dog are amazing (although i was letdown by uncharted 3). not long to go until the last of us! (june 14 for me..)
I really hope activision just ****s off! Give Spidey to someone who is willing to put in all the effort required to make an outstanding game.
My favourite devs have never disappointed me (I have never played any of the Jak & Daxter games though).
Well that's just great. And here we thought they've been putting good focus on making a great Spidey game, since it's already almost been a year since the last one came out...
If they ever do make an AAA Spider-Man game based on the comics, I would love to see an Arkham Origins approach to it for the story. Have a young Peter Parker who only recently became Spider-Man encountering his villains for the first time. You can even have someone like the Kingpin hiring certain Spider-Man villains and other villains from the MU to kill Spider-Man. That would be a great concept for a game as long as it doesn't come off as an AO ripoff.
i hope not (beenox are so mediocre) lol.
I think best thing possible would be for the rights to go to Ubisoft! They're making one AAA game after another it seems and I think Spider-Man is one of those properties that would fit them like a glove.
This isn't good news. If Beenox is working on the game, that means we may have another of their 'split studio' productions and we'll get an above average half-assed game again. I enjoyed ASM for the most part but they F'ed up the part that's supposed to be the highlight of the game...the free roam. Hopefully there was another developer put on the job as soon as the first one ended. Who? I have no idea. I'm already thinking things aren't gonna bode well here. Time will tell.
I really like this idea. And for the bolded part...that's gonna be difficult to avoid, lol. Batman games are leading the genre and everyone is playing catch-up. I'd like to see a ground-breaking Spidey game built sometime soon but my hopes are in the basement.
I agree man. Making a Spidey game has to be a difficult thing to do but I'd love nothing more than a AAA effort. All this talk is making me depressed. lol.
. My hopes of seeing that Spider-Man game anytime soon are in the basement as well. Now imagine a Spider-Man game with the effects, graphics and animations at the same level of quality as Tom Clancy's Division. I still can't get over how amazing that game looked.

This.
I'd love to see what an AAA spidey game would look like on ps4!!![]()
Yeah but it'll most likely be ****, half assed and rushed.Chances are that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 tie-in, whoever does it, will release it to PS4 and Xbone.
