He doesn't seem to be an outcast by choice. He seems to be just an outcast like myself. We even share the same mannerisms

I'm not the who said he's an outcast by choice. SpideyK did. If he's right then Peter is a fool. Who would want to be an outcast. That's stupid.

It makes him unlikable and unrelatable.

Outcast isn't the same thing as socially ******ed.

Tobey's Peter was socially ******ed AND an outcast.

Garfield's Peter is just an outcast, pretty much by choice.

Toby seemed to me like the typical Hollywood cliche way to explain he is a geek to the audience as fast a way as possible, like a check box that needed to be ticked off

Peter looking stupid while running after a school bus while kids laugh at him, to getting bullied by the guy whose dating the girl he likes but she doesn't notice him but she is always nice to him so we can see why he likes her, it's pretty much been done so much in movies

I think we got something very different with TASM and I actually liked that

TASM never portrayed Peter like Peter Parker who is a nerd and an outcast. They portrayed him like a hip skateboarder kid who stand up to bullies. I really didn't like that. Marc Webb does not understand Peter Parker.

Yes it is because outcasts don't know how to be socially functional because they never get the chance.

I'm trying to put together what you said there, but I just can't. I don't even konw what that's supposed to mean.

Don't try and turn this into a Tobey discussion.

There's elephant in the room. I'm just acknowledging it.

Which makes him a fool and nothing like Peter Parker. Peter doesn't be an outcast by choice. He wants friends and to be accepted.

What if I told you this isn't the 60s anymore? There have been, and will be many more interpretations of Peter Parker. Deal with it.

Yeah so? It's because he stood up to Flash for picking on that other kid.

Seeing as how Peter was picked in by flash early I doubt that's the case

Nerds like Peter Parker, or rather the nerd Peter is supposed to be doesn't dress like that.

Some if nit most Nerds dress like that in modern times. We can't always expect him to wear a vest and pocket protectors

Outcasts don't know how to act socially normal because they're outcasts. They never got the chance.

There's elephant in the room. I'm just acknowledging it.

No there's not. Your point was not even correct. He had more friends than Garfield did lol.

What if I told you every version of Peter has been portrayed that way right up to the 2000's? Deal with it yourself.

I said Peter was a loner by choice, because that's what the Webb says. Take it up with him, if you're really that bothered by it.

Honestly, pretty much all loners are loners by choice, in some way or another.

I've always seen Peter as shy. I don't mind Andrew, I think he's a good pick but I've always seen Peter as just shy.

Shy when confronting people, shy around Gwen (so to speak).

When he becomes Spider-Man, that's when he really gains his confidence and becomes more confident as Peter.

For the last time he's not a hipster. He's a shy and awkward person. I myself have seen people act like that and I myself act like that

Andrew was the first time I felt like I was watching a believable character, Toby was never believable, Toby was a dated view of a geek I seen his sorta geek in the early 1989-92 kids tv shows when I was growing up

Agreed. And Garfield's Peter was never shy. He had lots of confidence before he was Spider-Man.

Because that portayal is famous infact you see characters act like their 70s and 60s counterparts even dressing like them for that matter and also the ultimate version was modernly dressed as well. I never seen him wore a sweater vest

Andrew was the first time I felt like I was watching a believable character

Andrew was the first time I felt like I was watching an unbelievable version of Peter who felt nothing like Peter Parker.

I am ignoring your Tobey remarks because I know you're trying to make trouble.

Compare what Flash did to Peter with the basketball to what he did to that kid Peter protected. You'll see the difference.

Some if nit most Nerds dress like that in modern times. We can't always expect him to wear a vest and pocket protectors

Yeah nobody is asking for this;

Nah, he seemed to be very believable. People don't think he's quite nerdy enough but in all honesty in the audience viewpoint, how nerdy do they even want him is the troubled question

We see him being nervous around girls and pretty much some other people.

He wasn't nervous around other girls. He seemed ok talking to the girl who came up and asked him to take photos for her.

He is too confident as Peter before he becomes Spider-Man and he is worse after he becomes Spider-Man. He is a bad over confident *****e version of Peter.

Peter had Harry. He knows how to interact with people.

There's people I choose not to hang out with at school. Does that make me socially ******ed?

No there's not. Your point was not even correct. He had more friends than Garfield did lol.

"Correct" I don't even know where to start. I think I just won't.

What if I told you every version of Peter has been portrayed that way right up to the 2000's? Deal with it yourself.

I never said otherwise. Look, change is inevitable. Peter won't always be early 616 Peter. And that's a good thing.

Agreed. Current 616 Peter, sure as hell ain't socially ******ed, and never really was, tbh.

Peter had Harry. He knows how to interact with people.

Peter had not seen Harry in years in TASM movies.

There's people I choose not to hang out with at school. Does that make me socially ******ed?

No because I am guessing you still have people to hang out with.

I never said otherwise. Look, change is inevitable. Peter won't always be early 616 Peter. And that's a good thing.

I know change is inevitable, but no change for the worst or change that makes the character feel really different to who they are supposed to be based on. That's a bad thing.

I am really no trying to make trouble I am being very serious about his Peter, he is the gee whiz ain't may Peter Parker from the 60s and I remember growing up on kids tv and there would always be shows about some kids in high school and there would always be the typical glasses wearing geek and thinking back to it... It's very outdated

But they were there to laugh at usually

If you consider that outdated then every version of Peter Parker ever, bar the horrendous TASM version, is outdated by that logic.

Stop fanning the Raimi vs Webb wars or I'll have a Mod sort you out.

I already see you're point. All I'm saying is that Peter is shown to be picked on.

But not even a fifth as much as Peter Parker should be. Even the USM version several of you always run to as a defense had a much worse time of it. He would even get kicked up the butt in the hallways like he was a football.

Be thankful he's not exactly like max or a character like the Big Bang theory

Oh I am lol.
