IF it's of any consolation to you guys, if my memory serves me correct (and if you're reading this RIM, I say this in no way of insulting you of course) but RIM has been known to have changed his opinions about previous Marvel Films after having seen the given film more than once.

For example, when he had first seen "Thor", i remember on how he had a lot of praise for it in his first review for it. However, after some time had passed and after he had seen it more, he said that he had spotted things that he didn't the first time and really pointed out a lot of issues that he had with it upon seeing it more times; he still enjoyed the film due to the acting and personal story between Thor and Loki/Odin involved but his first review had a lot more positive things than his latter one had.

yeah me too

Though, if he reveals later that he's trolling, while relieved, I would also be pretty mad to him. I mean, when he said those words my heart really sunk and I still have a terrible feeling

Yeah me too is like when you feel confident in an exam and then you fail
i was like :wow: my heart stopped [YT]bU_iWAQcBBg[/YT]

:funny: omg, people on this board are hilarious. Even if this film was terrible critically, it would have to be a huge financial bomb for sony to not consider making another spidey film, and i don't see that with the name recognition that spider-man has across the world. Sure it will most definitely fall under some expectations financially (especially considering the few poor souls that still believe this will break a billion) but theres no way Sony is giving up the rights to Disney/Marvel Studios unless this film does horrendously bad at the box office, some people need to stop with the mass hysteria.

All this from a mixed non-review from RIM :funny:

Thanks for trying to comfort us, but finding problems later isn't even nearly the same thing as being shocked on how bad it was

i suppose to be fair loads of people like the first spiderman movie, while i dont really enjoy it, i wasnt even impressed with it after i first see it and i always been a spiderman fan

and while many feel spiderman 2 is one of the best comic book movies i didnt enjoy the overall story or plot twists but thought doc ock was handled well

so each to there own really =/

I saw reviews that hated TDK before everybody loved it. Although they loved Ledger, they hated that it didn't look like a Batman film, and that Batman was very bad written, etc, etc.

Probably, those reviews are currently erased from the internet lol

I'm sorry, but that's just not true. The first reviews that popped up in 2008 were not just favorable, they were raving. Although I do agree with the wait and see mentality.

When Sony is going to lift the embargo on reviews ?

After all this, I think we're still in the same position. We just don't know. RIM's 'review' was neither good or bad. And even if it was, it's just one guy's opinion. You know, there's posters on the Prometheus board I completely respect--Solidus, as an example--and yet we disagree drastically on the film. Even when I come back on Monday and tell all, you have to remember, it's just an opinion. I've liked films that are very unpopular, and I've disliked films that are praised. Art is subjective, and we all take different things away from it.

Guys... Sigh, some might appreciate the film, but some def. may not. Very complicated, I'll explain later. Kinda shocked, sorry...

Just coming here to say that many Bat fans are looking forward to this movie as well, keep an open mind.

The thing that counts the most is how the general audience responds to this movie, if they like it, everything will be fine. :)

As far as Spidey fans are concerned, like I said If you are prepared to keep an open mind then you will not be disappointed, we Bat fans are prepared for the Nolan trilogy to end, so clearly this is not that complicated.

I have liked all the trailers so far. Hoping for the best.

I still think if Spidey 1 came out today, it would have been panned. So by default it's probably better than SM1 or 3, just not considered "great" by today's standards.

this says Disapointment, i still have hope but i.....i just can´t believe it

Just to give a boost of optimism, I'd say I love Prometheus, but I'd say that some will like it some won't. Granted, RIM phrased it in a more negative/disappointed way, but I'm just saying.

Doesn't matter, think of all those young kids who will get to see Spider-Man for the first time on big screen if they like it and If GA likes it, it will be successful.

Let's just hope that it's a case where RIM just doesn't like the movie but everyone else does! I'm sure there are people who hate The Dark Knight, right? Right??:csad:

Good news.

I dont really like The Dark Knight. I actually think that TDK was too overrated tho.

I can't wait for the post where RIM says:
"Yes, it awful....ly good! Sorry for lying to all of you, but getting hopes low makes the movie even better and can truly blow your mind!"

Yes, I know it wont happen

With the level of excitement that everyone involved with the film has shown and the good things that they've said about it, since I can't see some of these people being sellouts and say made up good things for a film that they weren't sincerely happy/excited about, the film itself can't be THAT BAD.

I mean for example; I though "The Last Samurai" is a GREAT/EXCELLENT FILM, it's not perfect, but it's really great to watch, yet its rotten tomato score is nowhere as high as I think it should be.

I say, wait a little while longer before abandoning the ship or losing hope.

its true that we seen loads of positive reviews and even if you say some were lying about seeing the film you cant say they all were, unless everyone who seen a screening as kept quite :P

Would have been nice if RIM could have gave us a few generalizations on why he was disappointed.

CGI? Story? Acting? Editing? Cinematography? Dialogue?
