The Amazing Spider-Man The Amazing Spider-Man General Discussion & Speculation Thread - Part 10

So... We've now received enough video/images to indicate that Connors will learn Spidey's identity during the movie. The trailer also seems to show that Connor's will end up in prison (I assume at the end) confronted by that David Lowell guy. Lowell (if it's actually him) seems to also know about Parker. So am I right to assume that by the end of the movie a bunch of people (possibly from oscorp) will know spidey's identity, and that Parker and Connors (unfortunately) won't be on good terms, and thus be unlikely to assist one another as they would on occasion?

So what's the big origin change that has such a bug up peoples rears?

I doubt that the guy who was talking to Connors in the prison cell was Osborn. More likely another guy at Oscorp, acting as a messenger or something. The fact that his name is apparently David Lowell who is an obscure character in the comics who was an Oscorp employee compounds that.

People are assuming that they're making Peter get his powers because of his dad experimenting on him as a child.

and it came from the same guy that said the execs hated the film. but hey, he's probably right. he's got reliable sources i suppose.

I kind of hope the Execs (Suits) do hate it, cause that will probably mean we will get a good character driven movie with action, as opposed to a Popcorn ONLY action flick.

I thought it came from the scene in the trailer where we clearly see Parker's dad erasing a blackboard that contains words like 'Arachnid Genome' and ' Web Fibers'.

I watched 20 times already on replay. Its amazing.

Think I have moved into the teens on views.... and still digging it. :woot:

Love the scene where the Lizard starts up the ceiling after Spidey... great shot. And the bridge scene looks like it is going to be Amazing.

I'm starting to get used to the suit, although I still like the Raimi costume just a bit more. But the acrobats and agility are done way better than Raimi's trilogy imo.

And 'delivery agent' especially points to that.

All this talk of changes. I'm just glad they are making Siderman a smart self made inventor, whereas this seems to constantly evade the current take on Batman.

Man, that TDKR trailer would kick so much more ass if that was uber batman lying there defeated. And if he had anything to do with the invention of that jet thing.

I loved EVERYTHING in that trailer. Its gonna hit people hard on how good it is.

And that will taste so good.

Lizard's CGI look fine from where I sit.

And it looks like we're going to get the white lab coat cameo while he's The Lizard.

All I wanted was at least that cameo of the lab coat so I can die now NR... :/

I loved the trailer and spideys interpretation especially my sigs' quip. lol

Oh god that " You found my weakness...small knives" HILARIOUS. Now that's SPIDER-MAN GODDAMIT!!!

Mark my words- This is gonna kill the **** out of Raimi films.

not to sound like a raimi lover but lets face it: in terms of raimis films, the idea of spidey not wisecracking as much i don't feel is raimi or tobey's fault, its the writer of the script. u play the games based off raimi's films, spidey quips ALL THE TIME.

This didn't just have quips that beat the Raimi: The action, scope and drama did. IT OWNED SO HARD, A kick to the haters.
