I remember when TDK came out there was a thread for every city for the July 15th IMAX showings of the film so why not just have a thread for all the cities.

So on May 1st, if a local IMAX is playing the ASM2 in 3D, you will recieve that awesome mondo person, and of course see it a day early. Get your tickets now while you can ( I just did), and get ready.

I will be seeing it at the Scotiabank Theatre in downtown Toronto at 7 PM May 1st IMAX 3D (obviously lol).

Let's discuss the big day here, and post your city and showtimes.

I am not seeing it in IMAX but i am going to be seeing it may 1st at 7pm 3d in auburn CA. It will be the 3erd movie i have seen the first showtime for. I saw iron man 3 at midnight. I would have wanted but saw it with some friends and i saw dark knight rises has i couldnt wieght and it is my favorite movie ever. My excitment for this movie was like a 8.5 but with the reviews not being has good has i thought i would say it is now down to a 7.

Not going to the 7pm showing. Is that the new midnight? Because it's selling a lot more than midnight showings. It makes sense because people do have work/school the next day.

I'm attending May 2nd, 12:01am, Citywalk, CA.
Sucks they're not giving away mondo for midnight attendees. I obtained last film's poster. Still have it.

Yeah is looks like some places do 7 or 8 pm show times now instead of midnight has they are doing a 7pm showtime and they are not doing a midnight and i think captian ameican 2 had a 8 pm instead of the midnight even though i didnt go to that one. Its cool though wont have to strugle to stay awake while watching the movie. It is about 25 minutes form my house and it cost 11 for 2d and 13.50 for 3d. I think they just went up .50. There are 3 other theaters that are around 15 minutes form me but i like the one that is farther has the sets are a lot more conftable. The 3 that are 15 minuts form me i think are 9 for 2d and 11 for 3d. The 3 that are 15 minutes form me havnt relistc there show times the last i looked like 2 days ago.

Yeah I'm not sure when it started but theaters started to add the 7pm and 8pm showings recently. Maybe it brings in addtional money.

yeah its just cool not having to stay up to like 2:30-3 am. The bad it may be even more crowed then a midnight i am not sure though has i havnt done a 7 or 8 pm opeaing showing before.

^ Me neither. Luckily, I had work off the next day after my midnight showing. :]

Yeah i am taking may 1st off work and the 3erd for this movie and i have a BBQ to go to on the 3erd.

Got my tickets for May 1st at 7pm, excited as can be.

How early do most of you guys go for a midnight show and what about a 7 or 8 pm show?

For movies like this, I like to attend a theater with reserved seating. With that said, we'll probably show up about half an hr early.

yeah i went to dark knight rises at midnight i was there i think about 40 minutes early but i dont know if a 7 pm will be even more crazzy. With the movie playing at 7 i will probly live my house at around 5 that night and get something to eat for dinner and then go to the movies or maybe 5:30. If i live at 5:30 and get something to eat and then go i would probly get there around 6:20 or so.

That is pretty normal nowadays with films coming out a day or two before

That's where I'll be also right after coming from the Arclight @8pm

You're seeing it twice the same night?? Haha nice.

My theatre is having an early showing at 7. I'm trying to decide whether or not to go to that one or the midnight showing. When I went to see Cap 2 at an early showing, the theatre was almost empty. Tough decisions...

Yes indeed, I remember when ASM came out at the Arclight Marc, Tom and Avi made an appearance for the opening show at the dome, we'll see what happens this time. Then head over to Citywalk to see it with more friends, pretty insane.:yay:

I think I remember that.

Cool man! Have you gotten your citywalk tickets yet? Not as popular as the 7pm showing but they're filling up slowly.

Yeah I had the 7pm but we changed it to 12:01, it will sell out no doubt

I have my tickets for May 1st at my crappy Regal Cinema in West Virginia. Still really freakin excited though.
