After seeing both movies, and playing both games, I've kinda always felt that, in the Amazing movieverse, or gameverse, that organic webbing had a good home there. Whereas the Raimi movies treated as a general part of Peter's mutation, Mark Webb crafted a world where it could have been easily explained.

Anyone else agree? Not trying to start a mechanical vs organic debate, just curious to see what you all thought.

I think in either franchise it makes sense that a genetically altered spider bite would give someone the ability to create webbing.

Raimi thought it would make Peter a little less relatable as an everyman if he was as smart as his original comic book character. Webb embraced it. I enjoyed seeing Peter working on his webshooters in both Amazing movies. I also enjoyed the scene in the original Spider-Man where Peter knows he can shoot webs but doesn't have any idea how he did it, ha.

Honestly don't have a preference, either way Spider-Man has webs. But I like web shooters more because they can run out, break, malfunction, be repurposed like the fight with Electro. It can add some drama. Raimi Spider-Man ran out of webs but only when he was losing all of his powers.

Turns out I mentioned this in my old Organic Webshooter tribute thread. Heh SL this thread is kinda needless, I just forgot. I asked a mod to delete. Sorry everyone. Lol

I actually think with all the mutation focus of this franchise organic would have worked better.

I am glad they went with webshooters as they emphasisr his intelligence.
