This may not appear as an extremely essential thread in the forum, but, just for the fun, lets talk about what people in your theatre though of, when watching the teaser before Captain America.

Here, you are welcome to share and discuss reactions from the audience regarding the teaser, whether it was positive or negative, as well as express your own experience having witnessed the first sign of the return of Spider-man to big screen.

This is going to be a hilarious thread, where people make up crowd reactions to how they feel about the trailer and reboot.

Not from my theatre, but one of my friends didn't like it. You know those YouTube comments? Exactly like them:
  • "Tobey was better!"
  • "Why are they rebooting?"
  • "They ruined it!"
  • "CGI looks like ****!"
  • "Definitely saving my money."
Complete with a lack of constructive criticism.

Friend of mine loved it..he said he didn't know what to think of the suit yet but he loved the trailer

All of my friends that I saw Captain America with thought the new film looked excellent

Notable reactions from other audience members:

"Huh?"
"Woo hoo!"
"Oh ****!" when someone realized this was a Spider-Man movie
*Claps*
*Whistles*

Glad to hear that GA is beginning to accept the reboot :woot: and I think when the proper full length footage filled trailer gets released most of the haters there's left will turn to true believers :awesome:

I thought it looked ok, wasn't much to go one. I still think it was pointless to reboot it when they just could have continued. I have always liked the narrative in the original spider-man movies for some reason. Anyway Im probabaly going to complain about it until I actually see the movie. That is what usually happens with comic book movies if the trailer doesn't look like it is based off a lot of source material. Like with x-men first class before I saw the movie I was like "this movie is going to suck, thats not the first class team from the comics" after I saw it I was like "I want to like it but the comic nerd in me won't let me lol"

avoided every single x-men FC trailer and went in fresh. I'm so glad I did that. if I had will power I would do that for spidey but I know that just isn't going to happen.

well, I just posted this in the other thread, but heres a quick rundown

The initial reaction was super positive, fist pumping, applause and "YES"s. Including applause from me. ( I held off on watchign this trailer to see it on the big screen btw)

The reaction afterward was almost unbearable. I felt embarrassed for clapping haha. I LIKED the trailer, but I didnt love it, it looks okay. It felt like a cheap re-tread, and that it is.

from exactly what i heard, the crowd responded with complete silence other than a quite distant "god no no" and such from a group. and i saw a guy shaking his head in disappointment below me.

From the initial response of excitement to the overall dissapointment... its not a good sign. Im being perfectly honest too, I wish I could say otherwise since I love spidey (obviously lol)

But Im still willing to give the flick a chance, I dislike most of the casting except peter and gwen. So Ill stick it out for them and the webshooters haha.

I can not say the same for most everyone else though. Note that the Avengers trailer got the biggest and best reaction to any trailer I've ever witnessed. It was popping like everyone just won the lottery.

I actually was not surprised when the teaser didn't premiere in front of my screening of Cap. I live in the smallest state of the United States.

Rhode Island. Only thing we're known for is the location of the Ghost Hunters show headquarters (TAPS) and the home state in Family Guy.

Those are my exact reactions.
And it did have some Twilight-like feeling of it. Of course I'm hoping that I'm wrong.

My reaction: Will be watching on demand for half the price of a movie ticket, oh yeah that swinging sequence looks like a cheap rip off of a video game, wait it is!

Not really much of one. Just silence. I think someone said "It's a remake." But that not that much.

There was little known film that came out 6 years ago. I had no idea what was going on, or why - even when trailers came out I didn't know exactly what was up....

Then I saw pictures and the costume and I was like WTF is that?? "I don't know.... hmmmm" I thought.

Then it came out ..... and I shut the hell up. Oh, here it is.

How did you manage that? You could DVR all the shows you wanted to watch but then does that mean you didn't watch any broadcast tv? not even re runs of stuff just to kill time or while online or something?
