Really hope it's more Arkham style combat in that it feels natural and realistic. The button mashing of the past needs to go!

Yea deff. The FreeFlow combat from the Arkham games would be PERFECT for Spidey. Hell id make the argument that that system would be better for Spidey.

Cool screen shot. I hope the combat is slightly more grounded in reality. Dont want the ability to 30 hit combo a dude in mid air.

I still HATE those damn shoes though.


Also, on kind of a side note, i really, really hope they bring in Norman Osborn as the Green Goblin at some point in this franchise. I kind of hope they end the 2nd or 3rd movie with the death of Gwen Stacey, that'd be great.

Eh, the shoes are minor details. I like the way the suit is detailed in this game so far. Very lifelike.

The robots thing is only a minor part to the overall story and the game. Beenox has said that there will be plenty of villains for this game and will be revealed in the coming months. Also, there will be side missions, challenges, and mini games. As part of the free roam you'll be able to encounter everyday 'thugs' and stomp them.

Absolutely. Another thing I never really enjoyed was how in many past Spidey games everytime Spidey landed a blow on an enemy there would be this 'glowing' effect. I'd like to see that effect go away. Never liked it.

Totally agree. Spidey's natural acrobatic style and ability would make the most out of a 'freeflow' combat style we got with the Arkham games. Man, that would be epic.

Im not really a fan of the suit overall. I mean i hate it a lot less now that iv seen more of it, but i deff would of preferred if they hadn't messed with his orig look.

Yep. Definitely. I mean if Raven Soft can get comic costumes in their Wolverine game, dont see why Beenox couldn't do the same for their movie based game.

Beenox is known for having bonus items like suits in their Spidey games so I'd be very surprised that this game doesn't have any. The trailer showing the robots was not a good idea IMO since people have already expressed their hatred of fighting robots. Dink, dink, dink, dink, dink, dink...lol. According to Beenox they have a bunch of villains that Spidey will be fighting against, some from his mythos and some are being created just for this game. Like I said, they'll be revealed over the next few months. Beenox has also stated the part about the challenges and side missions...plus that you'll be able to fight against regular 'thug' types.

Yes, I suppose. But it was kinda cheesy. I'd prefer a more realistic approach to the combat. I had fun with EoT but now I want something more substantial.

True. I would much rather have free costumes. The reasoning for having to pay for them might be because of including those other costumes would be a licensing issue. Not sure if it is or not but they may not have a choice other than to charge for them. I honestly wouldn't mind cause I happen to love some of the suits that they have in their games but I'd most certainly prefer them free. t:

In WoS it was unnecessary and felt wtf, in SD and EoT at times it was light effect with dark backgrounds
