Word. These next couple of weeks are gonna be long. Thank goodness we only have three weeks to go and the game doesn't release in October like ACIII (another game I'm drooling over). t:

I know AC 3 looks great, gonna be real fun taking a tomahawk to somebody's head lol

Will it be perfect? Absolutely freaking not.
Will it be equal to the Arkham games? The chances are practically zero.
Could it be the best Spider-Man game yet? Possibly.
Will it be fun? Oh, almost definitely.

USM was a weird sense of fun for me. Everything it did, it did well, (Aside from too many race/chase sequences) but there were so many things missing from Spider-Man 2 that I felt very disappointed. It had no rag-doll physics, no indoor areas, limited city events, and others. I still liked the game, but I was always disappointed that it left a lot of things out from SM2 (and added some too)

Yea, at the time I was HUGE into USM so that's prob why I enjoyed it at the time as much as I did. I'm hoping this can be a game I can go back to 6 months after its release and still have some fun. Haven't been able to do that with an SM game in a loooong time

This is actually the female version of Scorpion. Scorpia. Game Informer mentioned it a while ago.

That didn't look remotely female. Again, I think that was a typo, especially considering how the featured cover in the menu was Mac Gargan's debut as Scorpion.

I'm thinking at highest, the game will get an 8, in order for a Spidey game to get anything higher than that, let alone a 9.5, it would take another developer to make the game

Yeah, I'm guessing that the game will score somewhere between a 7 and an 8 on average. I'd love to see really high marks across the board but I don't think that will happen.

See... I see a lot of people saying if it's not as good or even close to the Arkham games that they won't enjoy it. While I really enjoy the Arkham games... I don't get the super ***** for them.

Sure, the combat is solid and makes me feel like Batman but I'll tell you one thing, I do not touch the challenge maps/rooms whatever. They're just zero fun for me.

So... If I can zip through NYC and come as close to Spidey as possible (floaty animations be damned) then I'm going to have loads of fun with it.

Probably already been posted, but here's 3:31 minutes of great quality footage showcasing a lot of webslinging. Most notably taking care of one of my major mobility concerns: missing wall running...well it looks like it's in for sure! Thank you Beenox! I just wonder how you trigger it given that it doesn't appear in the controller menu...I'm going to guess it's Triangle for PS3...

Bottom line, we finally have gameplay videos and the game looks really freaking fun. If it wasn't for being so burned in the past by SM3, I might preorder it...but i think i'm still going to wait for fan and professional reviews first...though my excitement might get the best of me...

anyone know if the voice actors have been announced?

Here's a video of some combat. It sucks that the camera recording this is far from the screen but there's enough detail to see the moves clearly. It looks great. The animations are very Spidey-like and it has a nice flow to it. So much better than the short clip we got in that Dee Brown interview.

That definitely gave me a lot more confidence in the game. Looks like the gameplay is what you make of it: If you're good at the game, it can look and feel fantastic.

I like the overall presentation of the game, the colors look bright and vibrant. The framerate also looks really smooth as well, this game may not be Marvel's answer to AA, but it does look damn fun and this may be 2 steps in the right direction for Activision

Then u just don't recognize quality, it's as simple as that( or u don't really like batman)

How don't I recognize quality though? Because I could give a crap about the pointless (to me) challenge maps? I grow bored of them.. Simple as that.

Batman us tied with Cap as my favorite comic book hero.. So..

I just don't find much of a point expecting this, or wanting this to play exactly like the Arkham games.


I wouldn't want it to play exactly like AA/AC. I'd probably grow bored. I'm willing to bet though that even if this was as good as AA (which I enjoy a bit more than AC) reviewers wouldn't admit it.

Not saying itvwill be.. But I fully believe it COULD be. Why not?
