Another post from the Spider-Man part of the forums.
Looks good.

I actually pre-ordered today. I found a store here in Greece that says they are offering the Rhino Challenge, Stan Lee missions and the 2 cell phone mini-games.
Finally! This is the kind of stuff we've been waiting for. And it didn't disappoint! The webswinging looks really cool and very "Spidey-esque." Unfortunately, this just leaves me aching for more. Come on, E3!!

You'll notice that in the clip, he swung right past a number of web rush icons, so clearly, if you're not into it, you can just ignore them. One of my fears was that the web rush feature was going to reduce your ability to choose your own moves as you navigate around the giant playground that it New York City, but it doesn't look like that's an issue.

That's a cool thing about the web rush...during free roam and most combat situations it is entirely optional. The only times I have seen/heard of so far in which using web rush is a 'must use' tool is during the thug car chase (it was mentioned in several reviews of the demo footage that you use web rush and button prompts to complete that random crime mission) and the boss fights (also mentioned during the demo footage when you fight Rhino and those large robots, web rush is the primary method of attacking/dodging).

Does anyone know if you can turn off the silhouette icons? It wasn't that big a deal when they appeared when you held the web rush button but it seems like it could get annoying or distracting if they are just going to appear while you are swinging normally.

No word on that. If the game is on the show floor at e3, that might get answered. I'm assuming u can't tho, the same way u can't turn off the grapple icon button for the arkham games. It's basically the same feature.

good point. I hadn't thought of that comparison and if thats the case it won't be that big a deal since that icon never got on my nerves.

I doubt that feature could be toggled on and off, its tied into his traversal system as a secondary means of getting around. Chances are, you're stuck with it

Exactly. Seeing how many different cues TASM is taking from AC, I'd imagine this is just another thing you can throw on the pile. I was never bothered by the grapple points popping up in AC so I'd expect to not be bothered by the icons in TASM. The only real difference I see is that the icons in TASM are yellow. I'm guessing they did that so they'd be more easily visible since TASM has a lot of gameplay during the daytime, when white icons may get lost in the sun so-to-speak.

They once say the same about lizard?

Connors is in the game for sure. We got official confirmation thanks to the gameinformer article and their hands-on playable demo of the game that was the first 3 hours of gameplay. It's unsure if the Lizard will be in the game but imo I don't think he will be.

I don't know. I still think it'd be a mistake for a movie tie in not to include his movies villain

The game takes place after the events of the movie. Here's what we know about Connors...[BLACKOUT]In the trailer for TASM the movie, Connors is seen in jail talking to a mysterious figure. Essentially, Connors does not die but is rather cured of his Lizardness. In the gameinformer article, Connors is seen at the beginning of the game helping out Spidey with something. IMO, it doesn't make sense that Connors would revert back to his Lizard form only to fight Spidey again. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, cause there's always a way to write that into the game but rather that it won't happen. Don't get me wrong, I'd like nothing more than a good ol' tumble with the Lizard but I just don't see it happening. [/BLACKOUT]

E3 is coming up in two weeks. We know we'll get to see hands-on gameplay and the voice actors will officially be announced. What else would you like to have Beenox reveal during E3?

For me, I'd love it if they'd announce a PS Vita port of the game.

Maybe we'll get to play the ending of the movie before the start of the game? I dunno.

Maybe. I doubt it. Gameinformer got to play the first three hours of the game and there was no mention of the game starting with flashbacks or the final fight in the movie.

[blackout]Connors could relapse for all we know. The game does feature a virus outbreak based on Connors DNA. Maybe he gets infected and because he was infected before, he transforms completely.[/blackout]

Also...

A 5 second video of Spider-Man web-rushing (shows off some very populated streets) and a contest where you enter to win the Vigilante suit for the PS3 only.

Why does the Vigilante costume (also in the new film) remind me of the carjacker in Raimi's movies a bit?

I'm not ruling that out. It's a definite possibility.
