might as well throw this out surprised it hasn't been yet....its ben reilly

The new Spider-man is
the radioactive spider that bit Peter. While the bite transfered powers to Peter it also transfered humanity to the spider. For years the spider lived in the sewers mutating further into a copy of Peter but with a different take on his powers. He sticks to walls by claws and that is why the new suit has holes in the boots for the claws to come out. His eyes are still spider-like and that is why the lens on the new suit are raised. So he can see normally. While he shares Peter's need for justice he brings it about in a more brutal way.

That would actually be an awesome What If? story.

So does this new Spider-Man hang out with a TV news reporter, a hockey mask wearing vigilante and a human sized rat ninja master?

:don::raph::mikey::leo:=:spidey:

Agreed, Roach's idea would make for an interesting what-if! :eek:

That reminds me, in my crackpot theories in which the Spider takes over the Man in Pete and he becomes more spider-like, I forgot to mention Pete has eight eyes, and thus the special lenses in the mask. :yay:

You mixed a What If...? Story sketched by Fred Hembeck (and I don't recall the issue number, but sure it was released in the 70s, v1, a back up story) contains Jonah Jackass with Spider-Ham (Spider bit by a pig testing radioactive hairdryer turning it ham like)

So yeah, if anybody wants to be potentially spoiled about who the Superior Spider-Man may actually be, check out the Superior Spider-Man thread in the Spider-Man forum.

Dan Slott made a boo-boo on a Twitter message meant privately for Ryan Stegman today and a it's being reported by a few sites.

It could be a Red Herring.

Why do I get the feeling this will be Dan Slott in here after Superior Spider-Man finally comes out and we find out exactly how many curve balls he has been throwing us?

eh, I don't buy the Twitter leak as any confirmation. There are plenty of explanations, like one of Madame Web's visions showing all the different versions/iterations of Spider-Man.

Plus, who would use Twitter to send an actual work message? That would've been in an e-mail or a phone call if it were really that important.

I think it was Steve Wacker who was asked on a panel if SM 2099 was ever coming back and he said that Miguel would return someday. When this little faux pas occurred Marvel's only comment was keep reading.

So ASM 698 has leaked online and folks are talking about it across the internet. If it's true what goes down, prepare for a mind f**k of epic proportions. :up:

If things are already out on the Interwebs Slott is probably mad. Hope you don't spoil it on Twitter or you will get unfollowed by Slott. :oldrazz:

Lol, whoever that dude was in the strip club is totally getting fired.

Dan, shouldn't be too pissed. I'm totally stoked for Wednesday now!
