The Angelina Jolie/Ava Lord thread

copied for those who don't want to deal w/ the popups:

To wed, or not to wed? That supposedly is the question that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are toiling over.
"We will never marry," Jolie is said to have told "Sin City" director Robert Rodriguez over tea at L.A.'s Bel-Air Hotel on Jan. 17. "If the kids get older and demand that we have a ceremony, we might. But that's a touchy subject with us."

Guess so. The same day, at the Chateau Marmont, Pitt is said to have told "Constant Gardener" director Fernando Meirelles he and Angie were planning to marry "very soon."

Star magazine says both quotes come from earwitnesses.

The reporter who's said to have eavesdropped on Jolie's chat claims the actress told Rodriguez, "We planned on having the baby right near my birthday, June 4. My mom suggested it. She's really into astrology and thought it would be great to have a Gemini like me!

"Brad is going to do a project in July, and we promised that we would trade off movies," so they can always be together as a family on set.

The gender of said family's newest member is the subject of some speculation. Life & Style is reporting that Brad and Angelina are expecting a girl, while Us Weekly claims it's a boy.

Meanwhile, another one of Pitt's babies arrived in Park City, Utah, this week - at the Sundance Film Fest.

The Pitt-produced documentary "God Grew Tired of Us" centers on three Sudanese refugees trying to carve out a new life after their village is ravaged and their families are killed.

Director Christopher Quinn told us that Pitt got behind the movie three years ago, well before Jolie had him diapering Third World orphans. "I was taken by surprise at just how detailed he is," Quinn recalls. "His follow-through was really intense."

Their movie is pretty intense, too. One Sundance audience member was so moved, she wrote a $25,000 check to a complete a clinic in the Sudan.

Um, did it occur to you that a woman who's pregnant with a baby due from May-to-June can't film a part that requires a rocking, non-pregnant, nude body, in a film that's scheduled to come out in mid-August ?

If she will be Ava Lord, that means we won't see the movie before another year.

Maybe there's a pregnant character in "Grind House".

Hmmm....Sounds like a great casting choice but it's still not completely confirmed.

Wonder if she's willing to bare it all...

Why not, she was naked in more than a couple of movies.

She should, I'm still pissed off at Jessica Alba.

The only actresses I can think of to play Ava Lord are Angelina Jolie or Uma Thurman. Actually, I'd prefer Uma.

Alba was adamant that nudity was definitely negotiable, if that was how Rodriguez wanted to go. “It absolutely was an option."

Why are you mad at Jessica???, Robert made the call not her...

Then damn Rodriguez then! And I think Miller had a say too.

Damn them for depriving us of the chance to see the mysterious glory of a first-time-naked Alba! Good god would Kleenex stock skyrocket!

I'm glad that there are still people on this earth that don't live for nudity.

Unfortunately, you aren't one of them. They let her not be nude because she said she was uncomfortable and her father would have disowned her. Plus, it's not the goods that counts, it's the performance. GET OVER IT.

Thats not exactly how it went MM....she would have done the nudity had Robert said, this is how we are going to do it......she has said that more than once.....the other quote was simply why...she would have been uncomfortable doing it....not why she didn't do it.....

I don't live for nudity but apparently unlike yourself and Batman, it is something that greatly interests me. I am a straight male after all so yes, a naked Alba would be nice. And I mean, it isn't like her character IS A DAMN STRIPPER and was naked in the books, right?

Angelina would be perfect for Ava, if she wasn't pregnant

i just saw Salma Hayak's dance in from dusk till dawn. when i saw her face and beautifully toned body i remembered something marv said "that there is a dame to kill for"

Salma for ava 1000%

Y'know, Im probobly not alone in saying this, but I have my doubts about that, concidering the T&A seen throughout the movie he would have a "stripper" wear more clothes than a Parole Officer.

now that it's not coming out till 2007, i guess angelina is a possiblity again (she can't possibly be pregnant that long)

i'm going by his interviews....thats all.....you of course can believe what you want....i'd have to go and listen to the commentary again...but he might have mentioned it there as well....

i posted this earlier, but i guess it was missed....Jessica has said in several interviews that had Rodriguez said....lets go w/ nudity, it would have been done.....BUT it wasn't and thats the reality of it.......moot discussion at this point...moving on...

Alba’s comment on nudity being an option brought out a few loud moans from some male journalists who apparently would have loved to have had Robert Rodriguez go that direction. Alba was adamant that nudity was definitely negotiable, if that was how Rodriguez wanted to go. “It absolutely was an option. Robert said we could do it if we wanted to. Obviously it would have been more authentic.
