The anti-smoking lobby sucks!

I don't smoke. I never have. That being said, I have no problem with people who do and occassionally enjoy the smell.

But I tell you this...the anti-smoking lobby sucks. They are a bunch of opportunistic jack asses who EXPLOIT tragedy and MANIPULATE numbers in order to create favorable statistics. I have made the CHOICE to allow smoking in my bar, despite numerous phone calls and letters that border on harrassment asking me not to. Tonight, a group of about 20, picketted outside my bar. Signs and everything for about four hours. I'm considering a restraining order.

Hmmm dont know if i agree or not, all smoking in bars in the Uk has been banned, because 2nd hand smoke causes lung cancer, so your killing your customers and that cant be good for your business

Smoking is legal in America. Americans are allowed to make a choice to smoke or not. Those who choose to know the risks. SHUT. THE. ****. UP. YOU. BASTARDS.

Clearly, because you don't enjoy it. This isn't suicide club, it's not like we enjoy the inching towards cancer. We enjoy the act of smoking and the feeling it provides, and are fine with the small bit of health we lose each time. Just like I'm sure some people are fine with eating junk and getting fat, or sitting around all day and getting weak.

It's ass shades of self destruction. It's hard to paint one as particularly worse, especially since smoking with a good diet can keep you looking a lot healthier than if you were a strict overeater. You might die of cancer sooner than the other person does of a heart attack, but then your quality of life could be higher since you wouldn't be a lardbutt. It's all trade-offs.
