Shouldn't you be happy about that? Isn't there some archane economic law about incentivizing your workforce with better conditions increases productivity and makes a company/firm/producer more competitive?

They cannot pay back their loan if they are uncompetitive, so enjoy.

Those people helped turn the company around and took a pay cut during the process. Why shouldn't they get a bonus? BTW you realize that it only amounts to about 3 or 4 weeks pay don't you?

The Chinese are coming up with some ridiculously cheap cars. Think of a new Camry or Corolla clone at $4k a pop. I do hear some are refusing to pay bribes to certain officials and regulators to get into the Western market. Lot of shady "politics" behind the scenes. Love to see this happen.

I wonder why. Cash-for-Clunkers destroying thousands of used cars couldn't be the cause, right?

All I know is, every freaking car dealership in my area is doing everything except knocking on my door and taking my keys to get my 2006 Escape....I have it paid off in June, there is no freaking way I'm buying a new car now. I'm going to enjoy my "no car payment" months for quite awhile....but damn they want my low mileage used little SUV...
