This looks pretty neat!

Alright. Time to put that Xbox 360 avatar to work.

The Avatar Legends is an upcoming role-playing game by indie developers Barker's Crest. While not exactly rivalling Oblivion for scale and scope, it looks to be a breezy, cute little RPG, which boasts a ten-hour singleplayer game, co-op, multiplayer (for up to six people!) and a level/quest editor, from which you can create missions and share them with your friends.

What looks so promising about this game is that, unlike a sports or driving title, this will actually let you take control of your avatar and go on a proper adventure with them.
And while the included adventure looks to be fairly limited, that's beside the point. The real game will come when users get their hands on the level editor, which lets people mess with everything from story creation to quest structures to weather to enemy placement. You can even drop people from your friends list into the game as NPCs, and set up "horde-like" multiplayer arenas.

It's due out later this month on the Xbox Live Indie Channel. And if it takes off, the Avatar Marketplace is going to need more gauntlets.

Interesting. It reminds of an Avatar MMO I found in the indie games section. I messed around with it for a bit. This looks much better than that though.

The game looks crappy, but i do like the make your own quests, worlds and dialogue trees, so, at this point, count me in

This is pretty much "RPG Maker" for the Xbox 360. I'm kind of bummed that it's an Indy game (because I'm an achievement ****e...) but I'm glad that someone is actually doing something with our Avatars.

I mean, I always thought that the Avatars were supposed to be digital extensions of ourselves... I mean, there should be more adventure/rpg games with "us" in the lead role. Instead they've been regulated to Barbie like dress up things.

I hope this game sells well and leads to more Avatar RPG like games.

I don´t have indy games, it´s one of the 10000th stupid things by Microsoft.
It´s crap like this that make me go against MS, the lack of interest from MS to support all their consumers is astonishing.

Breath of Death VII is an Indy game, and is fantastic. It's only a buck too!

Most indie games on XBLA are pure garbage, bet there are some real gems if you're willing to look for them.

Oh yeah, most ARE garbage. I stumbled upon BoD VII and tried the demo, I was instantly taken back to Dragon Warrior/Quest on the NES. Very good game for 80 MS points.

I say it was stupid for MS not support all their consumers, in a more simplistic way just for you, to have all their features in all coutries that have XBL.
