I agree TheVision it looks different. anyone think thats a new IM suit? Those yellow highlights dont add up.

The Lego sets list him having three armours in the movie - the Mark 43, 44 (Hulkbuster) and the Mark 45, which, looking at the design of the minifig, looks to be alost identical to the Mark 43, just with more highlights of grey/silver and gold. Slightly different faceplate detail too

It's the one featured here:

You know what would be crazy? Remember when loki seemed to have a vision of the other while he was holding the scepter? What if something along those lines happens between Thanos and someone in this film? Maybe stark or ultron himself?

That would be awesome beyond belief.

Absolutely. A simple, effective and bloody awesome way of connecting AoU with the rest of the MCU.

As much as this needs to be stand-alone for the GA, I hope by the end of the movie Earth is aware of Thanos' threat.

Same here, I mean why not expand upon what Avengers and GOTG already started.

Wish Marvel would go to 3 movies a year sooner. The wait is killing me.

I hope they at least keep the "main" Avengers Theme from the previous film. It kind of feels strange at times to go into a lot of the MCU sequels where the established music from their previous films aren't no longer used...like at all.

I doubt it will happen since they changed the composer. I just realized that I don't really remember how Tyler did with IM3, but with TDW he rewrote everything and I've kind of just assumed he would do the same with AoU.

I do agree with you that it's nice to be able to keep themes, but I also think it's possible to improve upon the original in this case, especially since the ensemble movies are such a special thing. I wasn't much of a fan of the Avengers theme when I heard it in trailers but it grew on me when I saw the movie and I quite like it now. Still I think it's certainly possible that if he redoes it we might end up with something better (and of course there's risk of it being worse, as always).

Yeah and on top of the cinematography this time around... Don't make it too unrecognisable in comparison to the first film. One of the things I disliked about IM3, actually (the credit sequence was just weird IMO, I missed the scenes leading into Sabbath).

The other sequels had to deal with different directors though. I'm hopeful that Joss will retain the spirit of the first film from the tone to the [Avengers] theme.

It's actually surprising to see that no Director in the MCU has managed to Direct more than two films in the entire franchise.

If rumors are true about Whedon, then AOU may be his last Avengers film where he serves as a Director.

And the Russos may end up becoming the first Directors in the MCU to have directed at least 3 films (TWS, CW, and IW)

It's not that surprising especially considering how close the films are produced. Directing just two films back to back means not having any time to direct anything else for 4-5 years unless you're going to slip in a very quick Indie like Joss did with Much Ado. If Joss wee to direct IW 1 & 2 that would mean for a decade almost all his output would only be for Marvel. Directors like actors need some variety and these are long time consuming films to work on - doubly so for the director with all the pre and post production. And Joss is also the scriptwriter, so add that time on as well.

Branagh has just said when doing press for Cinderella he'd be delighted to make another Marvel film. He didn't come back for TDW not because he didn't like the experience but because he wanted to do something different after and TDW was just too close on the heels of Thor to do that.

Wow all awesome. I guess there aren't Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch ones? I like the sound of Vingadores.

None that I could find. :csad: Vingadores is nice and it's interesting that the Avengers logo is a V in these.

Though of course there's still an A on their uniforms - even Hulk has an A on his new Stark designed purple stretchy pants. :woot:

Whedon has said multiple times that he is tired of directing movies with superhero teams in them and wants to take a break from it. More than likely that means he won't be directing IW 1 & 2, but I hope he at least stays as the screen writer with the Russo's directing. That would be perfect.

sorry to interrupt:
hulkbuster-toy-3.jpg

according to this, Hulkbuster's number is LV which is 55.
(just look at the gold parts on its feet)
I don't know how legit it is but if this is true, then Stary has been busy between IM3 and AOU
;)

Beautiful Hulkbuster ;)

We need a beauty contest featuring Ultron, Vision, Hulk, Hulkbuster & the helicarrier.

Hulkbuster might arrive on its own in various pieces. It has to get to S. Africa somehow.

No prob. You did well to find these awesome pics anyway. Vingadores sounds really cool. I'd like to hear some of these foreign dubs and how Cap calls his Avengers in them.

If they do IW1 I imagine they'll do IW2 as well. So that would be at least 4. And CW will be like a mini Avengers so I think they have the taste for these huge projects, hopefully they stay on after. Maybe it's easier because there are 2 of them to share the crazy workload.

I'd like him to write dialogue. He's great at writing banter in ensemble casts while the Russos will strengthen areas that Joss isn't a specialist in. Do hope Joss stays involved in the MCU long term even if he needs a 5 year break or whatever. He's played a crucial role in its development.

Well, 4 people, since the Russo's have Markus & McFeely to write. Joss does it all himself.

On the topic of composer, I wonder if Tyler working on more movies makes it more likely to get individual hero soundtracks mixed into the Avengers one for certain big character moments?

Don't blame him for feeling a bit burnt out once AoU comes out. Time to bask in the glory and have a rest whil the MCU powers forward and hopefully be around in the medium term future to get involved again.

I imagine he'll still have a little bit of input and consultation, maybe write a few jokes too.

Tyler said in an early interview that he was amenable to doing that and that he'd done that in other work when he came on later in a series, like Rambo.

He used Silvestri's Cap theme for the cameo in TDW.

Cool, thanks for the info. The Cap theme cameo was the reason I thought about it, especially since he didn't write that himself.

I guess that could make it possible that he keeps the Avengers theme, but I still kind of doubt it since I think he still wants to make the overall score his own thing and probably hopes that he can continue on Infinity War.

I can't put my finger on exactly why, but they all seem to look a bit different in this pic. Maybe a bit too much Photoshop? :o
