Vingadores montar!

Hmmm, I think it misses some of the punch of Avengers Assemble! by not being alliterative. :cwink:

Actually, in portuguese, the battle cry used in the comics is:

Avante Vingadores!

:word:

Don't blame him for feeling a bit burnt out once AoU comes out. Time to bask in the glory and have a rest whil the MCU powers forward and hopefully be around in the medium term future to get involved again.

Mhmm. Although at the same time, if the Russo's do IW then their schedule would be even more hectic then Whedon's.

TWS - 2014
CW - 2016
IW1 - 2018
IW2 - 2019

Only 2 years between each of the first 3 films, Whedon would have 3 years between each.

I think Whedon might be tapped to direct Captain Marvel 3 years from now. By that time, Whedon would've made one or two movies and be mentally prepare to tackle another Marvel movie.

Whedon's main gripe is going long periods of time without creating original material, so if he elects to not do IW it won't be to do another blockbuster, let alone another Marvel film.

It will be more packed but there are 2 of them, and as someone mentioned earlier, they have writers while Whedon also writes his films. It's up to what they each want to do. I guess some are happy to work on huge multi-character blockbusters one after the other while others need to get out and do something else.

I wonder if the Russos will have the stamina for more directly after IW2 or will need a break of their own.

Just rewatched Avengers. I hope they keep the main score a little. You really feel it after the Hulk punches the leviathan and you get the group shot for the first time. I still remember my theater going crazy when that moment happened.

Someone needs to actually say "Behold... The Vision" at some point in the film.

Which new character is everyone most psyched for? Ultron? Quicksilver? Scarlet Witch?

Ultron for me. This guy has the potential to be one of the all time great CBM baddies.

I'm looking forward to Ultron the most because I love killer robots. As I've said before I'm hoping Marvel ups the anti and give us a really good villain for once.

Scarlet Witch is a solid number two though.

Whedon has said multiple times that he is tired of directing movies with superhero teams in them and wants to take a break from it. More than likely that means he won't be directing IW 1 & 2, but I hope he at least stays as the screen writer with the Russo's directing. That would be perfect.

I think that it's gonna be mcfeely and markus from the cap movies who are doing the writing.

Ultron and Vision for me, but I'm also very interested in the twins. I hope Johnson's QS will knock everybody's socks off, especially after people made such a huge deal on the other QS in DOFP.

I think Scarlet Witch is going to be the breakout between the two; and for the better. No matter how good or bad Quicksilver is, he'll always be compared to DOFP's. And I do not want to speak to or argue with those X-Men fans again.

I am worried about their accents though.

As a fan of the X-Men movies (flawed as they are) as well as the MCU, it is quite different being on those boards. It's quite interesting seeing the vast differences between the MCU, X-Men, Spidey, and DCCU boards. The groups as a whole (blanket description) are wholly unique to each other. I wonder if that makes me some kind of a sociopath for frequenting all.

Callin it now. Ultron shows up in IW

Do you guys think Ultron will survive? so, he can come back for future films?

I do. He's too important to be one and done. Plus Whedon loves him.

Not trying to start anything but I just saw this... lol

Send him up to space, can be used in an Annihiliation: Conquest movie at some point down the line. Guardians 3 perhaps

It will be quite interesting to see how Ultron is defeated in this movie.

Of the new Avengers Vision, then Scarlet Witch, then Quicksilver. Although that's not being too kind to Quicksilver as Vision and SW were always my no.1 and no.2 wants for new Avengers after the first film. Villain wise Ultron will be great to see and Marvel's chance to really up the villain stakes.

I'm probably the most excited for Vision since we haven't seen him motion yet, but overall it goes 1. Ultron, 2. Vision

Not really that interested in Scarlet or Quicksilver, I don't know why I'm just not.

Ultron is of course hard to top as he'll be the main villain, but I'm really looking forward to Scarlet Witch since she'll have the most unique powers and everything I've seen this far looks like she's being played well.

Whedon says **** you until late April.

That's a long time to have sex even for my old mascot, the banana slug.

Banana slugs, by the way, are fascinating creatures and you should have heard the outcry when the Chancellor wanted to change the mascot to the Sea Lion.

But I digress.....

Speaking of a length (movie length).....has there been any word, hint, or otherwise about the runtime? I re-watched the Avengers the other day and, with the right pacing, I could sit there all day. My sense is that most directors tend to make follow up movies about the same length, but that's anecdotal info on my part.
