When has he ever been written that way?
Pretty sure Steve has always been portrayed as a good human being. I don't think it's been any other way.
Mainly in Ultimate and in fanfiction.
chris hemsworth's wife just tweeted from London so that means Chris is in London too. The whole gang is finally assembled
He's definitely got the whole "Murica" thing going on in Ultimates, but everyone's an ******* in Ultimates. This is the same continuity where Hulk is a wannabe rapist (poor Freddie Prinze Jr.) and Hank Pym is so abusive Jan's apparently suffered broken bones at his hands. As for hating technology, some of the cartoons play up the old man not getting this new fangled technology bit.
Yeah but Ultimates is just an alternate universe thats really jyst a hiccup and never canon to Steve's 70 years of existence.
So did Millar by any chance have any involvement in Ultimate Cap?
It was supposed to be a modern/updated and more realistic reimagining of Captain America. Going by that, there was nothing more modern about him.
He did! However could you tell?
Lucky guess. He's like the Jeph Loeb of Comic Book Writers.
Woohooo! Pics soon hopefully!
Are they only doing sound stage stuff in London or will they be shooting on location as well?
Uh... You might wanna steer clear of The Ultimates altogether. Volume 3 in particular.
Volume 3 made me give up on The Ultimate universe altogether.
I can't think of a single redeeming quality about that arc.
Aww snap! Everyone is at the party! Woop woop! Bring on all the spoilerrific photos!
Excellent! Hopefully we get to see pics of them together.
Same. I really wanna see if they updated Thor's costume at all.
thanks for the reminder Vision, was listening to it for the last hour now
I don't read the comics.
Jeph Loeb is the Jeph Loeb of comic book writers. He wrote comics for many years before somehow finagling his way into television. And he wasn't always awful.
And Millar isn't always as bad as people make out. He tends to hover somewhere between juvenile and repugnant, but he does big screen action really well. For all their faults, Ultimates 1 and 2 were damn fun reads.
The same can't be said for Loeb's Ultimates 3. How that thing even made it to print in the shape it was in baffles me. I was so excited to see some Joe Mad art again, and I dropped it after the 2nd issue. He's also responsible for all the cannibalism nonsense that came afterwards. Say what you will about Millar writing Wanda and Pietro as incesties - at least he never outright showed it.
Millar should stick to original characters. He's much better that way.
Also, I'm hoping London isn't all sound stage stuff. I needs a shot of the new Thor costume. NEEDS IT.
