Only if you stop trolling
Knock it off plz
Very well said.Yes, Just_Human is reading something into a scene that isn't there, however the rude and obnoxious response to him is what started this off.
I am getting sick of going into threads where one guy or girl says something the clique doesn't like and so they get ridiculed.
Knock it off.
Bleeding Cool just reported that the SHIELD show is going to use the term "unregistered gifteds" to describe superpowered people they're looking for.
OTOH, I'm not sure how much they can really make SHIELD the bad guys, since they'll be the heroes of their own TV show.
I didn't make this connection...but you're right. The show is essentially about SHIELD pushing to register heroes...you wouldn't even think twice about that normally but putting it into the context of what started civil war it is very interesting they're going this route with it.I gotta say it: the term "registered" (and unregistered) really reminds me of the Civil War arc. Not saying they are (or should) adapt that exact storyline, but it seems they're at least borrowing ideas from it.
In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised if CA:TWS will explore the idea of government registration of "gifteds", especially with Senator Sterns being in it. In fact, this might be the big shift in political alliances at the end; setting up SHIELD with a mandate to hunt down and register "gifteds" and the Avengers opposing that.

As they should. Cap 2 is like a SHIELD movie basically. But back on that FIRST HAND, Clark Gregg recently said in an interview somewhere that the events of Cap 2 would have an impact on the show.
Hmmm...![]()
Well, the main characters don't have to be bad guys, just SHIELD, the organisation. It's very Whedon-y, actually.I gotta say it: the term "registered" (and unregistered) really reminds me of the Civil War arc. Yeah, I like that too. Good way of handling it.Yeah the registered gifted labeling was reported last week. It'll be a tidy way to differentiate from mutant and I like it.
That's not what I'm suggesting at all! Obviously we aren't getting that same storyline. I'm just saying we have an analogy to superhero government registration, and possibly SHIELD could be enforcing it. It's obvious the government needs some type of response to all these new superheroes (and villains) that are popping up, and with the term (un)registered gifted being used, it seems like registration would be an obvious component of that.I HATED Civil War. It wasn't fair and balanced like Marvel said that it would be. It was CA is a saint and Tony is Hitler. It also started the "Blame Tony Stark for everything in the MU, even if it is clearly not his fault, like Secret Invasion." phase of comics. I never want that onscreen.
Couldn't agree more. How about people just quit the team as time goes by, the way they do in the comics? The most powerful and popular Avengers have taken long leaves of absence over the years as the roster continually gets shaken up and reconfigured. All of the founders left the team by issue #16 of the original run and were replaced -- by Hawkeye, Wanda & Pietro, not so coincidentally. The very same thing could happen in the film universe as the Big Three reach the ends of their trilogies and new actors are (presumably) brought in as recasts. Thor, Captain America and Iron Man can leave for new adventures in their own series and be replaced by new heroes from the team's deep bench.
The mass slaughter of superheroes that some fans seem to want just isn't necessary.

I just saw on Face book that Disney Cruse has an Avengers Academy section for kids lol
I don't see how it makes sense to have superheroes quit in a film universe. "Thanos is attacking Earth, call everyone!" "Don't call Tony Stark... he quit the team."
It makes more sense in comics where the world about to end happens so often no one could reasonably be expect to be aware of and show up for all of them.
The Avengers is a sort of loosely-organized group of heroes in the film universe, quite unlike their comic book incarnation. They have no set protocol for summoning members, no communication devices for when they're not in contact..
