This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]540327[/split]
Quipping was fine in the airport fight since nobody was trying to kill each other (Save for T'Challa trying to kill Bucky, I guess), but it's not like Steve, Tony and Bucky were kidding around in the final fight. I have no problem with quips. Thor: Ragnarok is basically 75% comedy and I have no complaints there, but there were a few too many in that end battle of Age of Ultron. Civil War dealing with the aftermath of that battle shines a bad light on it too. Considering how many lives were lost, the "hide the zucchini" line in the middle of all that seems in poor taste. Same with Widow and Hawkeye driving around discussing his home renovations. There were a few that I didn't mind, like Hawkeye being fed up with Quicksilver's smartassery and Steve saying "Fury, you son of a *****" upon seeing the Helicarrier, but there was a little too much levity in there for the apparent seriousness of the threat, which didn't seem that big until Civil War highlighted it.
Keep in mind that Marvel may have CGId out stones in Thanos gauntlet to avoid spoilers!
My guess on the stones:
Thanos gets the space stone first, killing Loki and zapping Thor into the Galaxy with the stones power.
Thanos uses the space stone to travel to Xandar and to the Collector and sends the Black Order out to locate the others on Earth. Guardians hear about Xandar and run into Thor.
Thanos then travels to Earth to go after the Mind Stone and Time Stone at Wakanda. He succeeds. Vision dies.
The last stone, the Soul Stone, is lost in space and time. Thanos needed the other stones in order to retrieve the Soul Stone, located on his destroyed Home World.

Did Thanos take the stone shown in the first Guardians of the Galaxy?

Good one, but not sure about the last 2 paragraphs.
Isn't the scene on Titan supposed to take place before the battle of Wakanda?

So is it safe to assume Korg and Miek are dead?
(Duration of the movie) - I think youre looking at, ballpark, two-and-a-half hours. Joe Russo.
Thanos sends the Black Order to Earth in order to retrieve the Infinity Stones.
[BLACKOUT]Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive beat the **** out of Vision and Scarlet Witch. They get rescued by Captain America, Black Widow and The Falcon. Its a brutal fight scene with not much dialogue.[/BLACKOUT]
We structured that scene more like a horror film. - Anthony Russo.
[BLACKOUT]Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Wong and Bruce Banner face off against Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw. The spaceship hovering over New York is theirs. Cull Obsidian is not in a good mood Iron Man tries desperately to get to Banner who is having a hard time transforming into the Hulk. The attack from Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian is specifically targeted at Doctor Strange and the Time Stone.
[/BLACKOUT]
(About the MCU villain problem) - People arent going to have a problem with Thanos anymore. - Anthony Russo.
(About Thanos) - Hes an exceedingly difficult character to beat Hes stronger than the Hulk. Hes more like Genghis Khan. Hes a force of nature. He has a spiritual wisdom well beyond all the other characters. He is a conqueror of worlds. He doesnt have a weakness, and thats what makes him so treatning.
The one thing that character deaths do is remind you that the world has stakes. - Anthony Russo.
So, are characters going to die? Without question. - Joe Russo.
Mjölnir;36445001 said:No, there's many options open so we can't assume anything. I'd however say that the likeliest outcome is that some on the Asgardian ship survive because of how Tessa Thompson has pushed for an all female superhero film in the MCU. If Valkyrie survives so can Korg and Miek.
Those that are annoyed with all the "quips" sound like they've never watched an action movie before. Every single one of them have light hearted "quips" during the action scenes. Every one.
I mean, why does everyone want every thing to be super serious and "dark"? I feel like I'm back in the 90's again...
Those images shown earlier are from the new Empire issue. I read the magazine and here is the most interesting bits of information i found.
Spider-Fan already answered your question in the last thread:I can't even imagine all the cast salaries on this. For sure the likes of Pratt and Johansson must be on $10-15 million for this. So many A-listers in this, it's mind-boggling.
Has the rumor of Downey getting $100 million for this been confirmed? I remember when it was only Cruise, Smith, Depp, Sandler, Hanks, Schwarzenegger, DiCaprio, Roberts could get $20-25 million a film and he's completely blown them all away.
Downey is not getting 100mil up front. He likely has a certain upfront fee (call it $10 mil for argument sake) plus like 1% or 2% of the BO sales. If this ends up being a 1.5 billion dollar film, that 1 or 2% (possibly higher given it is RDJ) will add up to over 100mil along with his up front fee (whatever it is).
