Which songs do you feel should be included in the Avenger movie?

NOTE: It does not have to be a mainstream song, it could be alternative, heavy metal, whatever floats your boat!

Only thing that really springs to mind is at least one AC/DC song for Iron Man.

I feel that the Wallflowers' cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" from the Godzilla soundtrack was very Avengers-y.

Does anybody else feel that way?

By the time the movie comes out, there might be a band that'll do a song called "The Avengers".

Hero by Ozzy Osbourne
Iron Man Black Sabbath
Shoot to Thrill AC/DC

The movie will probably stick to an original instrumental score. And I think I'd prefer that myself.

AC/DC

Thunderstruck!!!

I'd like the score to be done by either Alan Silvestri, James Newton Howard or John Ottman.

Can't we both have a score soundtrack and a Various Artists soundtrack?

It kinda sucks that of the 3 Marvel Studios films, none of them had a "hit" song on the radio. I don't really count AC/DC for IM2, but seems like all of them were just score soundtracks unless I missed something.

C'mon hire Danny Elfman just for the Avengers.

Make individual orchestral themes for Cap, Thor, IM, villain, SHIELD, and the Hulk.

I think the days of 'Various Artists' soundtrack albums for blockbuster movies are pretty much dying out (if not already dead completely) what with music video promos becoming irrelevant thanks, imo largely, to music video channels increasingly...not playing music videos and the general fact that the few made aren't memorable songs or completely crap.

For recent example I SEE YOU by Leona Lewis from AVATAR was a complete flop and didn't even benefit from the movie's immense success whilst on release.

Definately prefer a bespoke score for the movie - soundrack album's have always pretty much just seemed like cheap cash-ins to me.

Score by Michael Giacchino, with the additional track of "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. :o

It's raining men by Geri Halliwell.

Whedon's had a track record of working with some very good composers in the past. Hi hope he brings on either Robert Duncan:

Or David Newman:

Or Christophe Beck. Beck's scored a good number of Buffy episodes (especially the ones Whedon wrote & directed). He'll be good too.

The thing is, Marvel may 'insist' that Whedon use a more bankable composer. It could be anyone's guess.
