Hello, guys. I'm finally back after having a second 24/7 flight from SD to my city (yeah, it's nerve-wracking).
Sorry, if I was absent during the whole week.
San Diego Comic-Con was such an important & personal thing for me (since it was my very first Comic-Con), that I really had no time for doing some things at once.
It was such an amazing & groundbreaking experience, really. I had a blast, talking with all
Marvel/Disney colleagues from abroad & spending some time with a lot of incredible people, including mr.
Clark Gregg. And
The Amazing Spider-Man panel was astonishing! As a big fan of the character, new cast & new direction for this movie - I was thrilled with each second of this magnificent panel.
Now, since I'm back, the questions, that you've been asking me for a while + some info of my own:
1) No, I do not know, why
Yahoo decided to
cut the Avengers teaser in half. Must be some kind of a stupid mistake or a bad request from
Paramount folks. It's beyond my understanding, why they didn't released
the full theatrical version, since
Disney approved the trailer's release and it was attached to the end of
CA: TFA.
2) I've spoke to some people at
THQ department at SDCC & they had
no idea about The Avengers game or whatsoever.
3) I've also had a spectacular talk with some people at
Hasbro (Marvel Department) guys & we can expect looots of
Avengers-related action figures from them next year, starting from
March.
If all goes well with the sales, you'll even get some kind of
Earth's Mightiest Heroes (animated series) action figures, but until then - nothing is for sure.
Also, somehow
Hasbro is saying, that they're calling
the round arc-reactor armor from the Avengers movie - Mark VII, rather than Mark VIII. Now, this is really weird, since I've spoke to some of the Iron Man armor's designers & they kept saying, that he'll have two new armors in the movie (
MKVII & MKVIII).
Then again, if there's no MKVIII, then it's really pointless for Stark to have
Mark VI (as we all saw in the Cap after-credits trailer) in the movie. I mean, it's like having a Mark III armor during the whole time in Iron Man 2, instead of wearing
Mark IV.
* Oh, and I really loved
Captain America movie. Saw it with lots of other comic book fans on
the 21st of July screening & it was so unbelievable, because you don't have that kind of thing in Russia, where you can discuss some comics-related stuff (like Mark Waid & Brubaker's Cap) in theater with someone, who's so deep into this as much as you are.
Okay, I guess that's all for today. I'll post more stuff very soon, once I'll deal with some unfinished stuff & interviews from SDCC. If you've got any more questions - send em in.
