lol...I do apologize for my gushing about how hot Loki is. But I still stand firm on the suggestion that in Thor 2 we get a shirtless Loki scene. I mean hey, it's only fair since we got a shirtless Thor scene. ;) I don't know if the universe could handle it though if both Thor and Loki were sharing the same scene shirtless. The fangirl energy would be so enormous it would tear the universe and several alternate realities along with it.

Actually, I've thought for a while that Marvel/Disney could increase The Avengers ticket sales by at least 50% if they had all the male heroes strip off during the movie and used them on posters. Groups of girls and women would storm the theaters like it was a rom-com or (God forbid) Twilight. Evans and Hemsworth alone would pack 'em in. Throw in Downey and Hiddleston and there will be fangirl riots in the streets.

unghhhh.. this is what happens with a slow news day. Im a guy so anybody saying anything about a hot guy in one of these movies wants to make me throw up.

I'm a guy too, but I don't have that problem.
In fact, I have to admit that Loki is extremly yummy.

oh believe me I am just a guilty :cwink: however the guys in this fourm are just as bad about female characters hehehe... I however in fairness I did start a " normal" discussion about loki in the thread, we need a trailer or something lol .. :yay: I think people are suffering from withdrawal, myself included take care guys !

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE !!!

"In Iron Man, which was an origin story, he was his own epiphany and redemption of sorts," Downey offers. "Iron Man 2 is all about not being an island, and dealing with legacy issues and making space for others. There, he was a military machine. In The Avengers, he's throwing it down with the others," Downey Jr. assures.

On facing Chris Hemsworth's Thor, Downey Jr. sums it up saying, "It's other-dimensional, and so that's the way that Tony think of this Loki-intergalactic-planetary-Beastie-Boys-son reality that happens in The Avengers. As an engineer and scientist who explores all possibilities, I don't see why he would say, 'That's not possible.'"

Tony Stark's jokey approach is to concoct nicknames for his new cohorts. "Like, he'll call Steve Rogers 'Capsicle' because he was frozen." After being asked does he have a personal nickname for himself, Downey quips, "Number one of the Call sheet".

From an interview with RDJ. Love the nickname for cap

It is interesting that RDJ says Tony wouldn't find Thor and his Asgardian lineage impossible. Back when Iron Man came out, Jon Favreau insisted that Iron Man and Thor could not and should not coexist in the same cinematic universe because of Thor's mystical background. Favreau wanted to be the producer of The Avengers in order to ensure that nothing was included that conflicted with the technological universe he created in the Iron Man movies. That always seemed a ridiculous attitude to me; after all, comic books are full of science and mysticism melded together. Happily Marvel ignored Favreau's objections and created the Avengers' shared universe anyway.

Yes I'm so glad marvel wasn't afraid to introduce the more fantastic elements of the marvel universe. Also, the tdkr trailer recently surpassed the Avengers trailer in downloads

I'm not saying they make a film that's nothing like the FF, but they make a very crappy cheap version of them. Think of it as another film of similar quality and production value as the Corman one.

im not sure what the exact logistics of the film contract is. but i'm pretty sure they can't be as low budget as "direct to DVD" and still count either.

You'll probably start getting over that once you hit middle school.

I think Favreau's problem is that he was too scared to address things like this after Iron Man.

I think he did a great job with both iron mans though. Glad they had him

me too. and I dont see why people say that they that IM2 was really bad. Not as IM1 but pretty close IMO.

I liked number 2 just as much as the first. Loved the action, black widow, and nick fury

After seeing Tony 'finding' his dad in Ironman 2, I hope we'll get to see a nice scene with him talking to Cap about Stark senior. That could be cool to see Cap telling a captivated Tony good things about Howard.

yes it did up the fun factor and was funnier than the first for me.

yes I would like to see that as well as part of the overall character development. could Cap bring that up after that exchange we see between Tony and Cap in the trailer?

Yes, that's too big of a connection to ignore
