WAT?!

Not to turn this whole thread into a big ol' fangirl fest, but, uh... win.

Evans' latest movie was horrendous, but he tried valiantly to compensate by walking around nude for most of it. The result of this is periodic explosions of naked!Chris on my Tumblr dash. And I'm fine with that.

Yes, double standards ahoy! We can't gush over hotties like Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, but yet we have to be subjected to women's butts and boobs. Tell me where's the fairness there!

We should be able to gush over all the hotties here. I just want equal time. Since the hunks outnumber the babes in the Avengers cast by 5 to 2 (or 7 to 2, depending on whom you count) we fangirls have a lot more to drool over than the guys.

In the interest of equality:

And here come the Nolanites!
Yeah, we can't really take them seriously, hhehehe.;)

Is there some sort of special bat-sonar that attracts them whenever those films are mentioned on the Avengers boards? It really is uncanny how they show up almost instantaneously at the merest mention of that other franchise.

So... if everything goes according to the masterplan, today the russian trailer is released?

I was wondering about that too.:D

RIM said that the trailer will be released in Russia "closer to the first week of January." The goalposts are rapidly receding into the distance.

RIM said the trailer would come before Xmas in Russia which is on Jan 7...
so expect the trailer on the first week of Jan

Maybe the ones that show up here like Avengers too?

The ones trolling the "Biggest Superhero Movie" thread certainly seem to hate The Avengers or feel threatened by it, or both.

In Russia I think most people celebrate according to the orthodox calendar, so Xmas is in January, not December.

It's weird how insecure some of them are over what is a very awesome series of Batman films. You'd think they'd be content with that but no, they always have to **** on everything else that comes along.

Personally I think Chris Nolan is one of the best directors alive and I'd love to hang on the batboards some because I love the movies but a lot of the posters in there are such knobs it's not worth the hassle.

*sighhhh*

I'm just going to like both. Avengers AND TDKR. Whatevs.

I hate comparisons. Nolan's Bat movies are fantastic for that franchise. Marvel's Cinematic Universe movies are fantastic for this franchise. Why can't we all just get along?!?!

Rant Time:

The thing that bugs me about the "haters," (not Batman fans necessarily) is the warped reality most create in their heads to justify their points. They'll insist that studio control is what ruins the movies they don't like with zero proof. Like saying "Thor and Captain America were **** because Marvel interfered. Before that with Iron Man and movies like TDK, SM2, and X2 the directors had complete control and that's why they were good!" But if you point them to the many, many interviews of the cast and crew from Thor and CA praising Marvel for trusting them with such creative reign then they'll go, "Oh that's just because they're not gonna bash the studio! It's all in the business!" despite zero proof, evidence, reports, or even just plain rumors of the studio limiting the creative teams.

It's fine that you may hate it but making up reasons for the movies not being to your liking because you want to bash the company behind them is close-minded and childish. People just want to find someone to blame to fulfill some hate-fueled need to take out their frustration. And because they took a Film Studies class and read Variety they're suddenly experts on the Film industry. A lot of the most snobbish movie fans on the internet form these well-articulated condescending arguments on the basis of complete ******** and I think that's what aggravates their opposers the most.

k I'm done for now.

Also TDKR looks totally rad. :ybat:

And to think, there were some complaints about us fangirls gushing over shirtless heroes a few pages back. :cwink:

We don't go "on and on" about it though, we say a few things and move on.

 Well said bro.

And sorry if this gets you or anyone else disgusted more angry, but my film class professor isn't fond of the Marvel films but praises the Batman movies too. And for a lot of the dumb same reasons discussed here.

And on top of that, my professor raged on Amazing Spider-Man saying it is just an altered script of Spidey 4.

...He works in the industry but I know for sure that is absolute BULL****.

Nicely written post son of coul. I'd. Say we here in the Avengers boards are prety mellow. Not many crazies at all

Yeah that was great post Son of Coul, if only more people thought like that.

+1..most members of this board show a lot of respect to Nolans work on Batman. I simply dont understand the animosity towards the Avengers over there. Actually, DC fans should hope the Avengers does well, because it could only increase the chances of a Justice League movie finally getting made.
