Rant Time:
The thing that bugs me about the "haters," (not Batman fans necessarily) is the warped reality most create in their heads to justify their points. They'll insist that studio control is what ruins the movies they don't like with zero proof. Like saying "Thor and Captain America were **** because Marvel interfered. Before that with Iron Man and movies like TDK, SM2, and X2 the directors had complete control and that's why they were good!" But if you point them to the many, many interviews of the cast and crew from Thor and CA praising Marvel for trusting them with such creative reign then they'll go, "Oh that's just because they're not gonna bash the studio! It's all in the business!" despite zero proof, evidence, reports, or even just plain rumors of the studio limiting the creative teams.
It's fine that you may hate it but making up reasons for the movies not being to your liking because you want to bash the company behind them is close-minded and childish. People just want to find someone to blame to fulfill some hate-fueled need to take out their frustration. And because they took a Film Studies class and read Variety they're suddenly experts on the Film industry. A lot of the most snobbish movie fans on the internet form these well-articulated condescending arguments on the basis of complete ******** and I think that's what aggravates their opposers the most.
k I'm done for now.
Also TDKR looks totally rad.
