It's not even about Marvel vs DC or anything. I'll never understand why people, on a fundamental level, can't enjoy more than one thing, you know? Like, I get that you love Dark Knight... but if you love Dark Knight more than say, Iron Man, why does that have to make Iron Man crap?
It's like people are just projecting their own insecurities and shouting "I like this, if you don't like it to the same extent as me I take that as an insult on my lifestyle choices!".
And it's not just Nolan fans... Anyone who has to make fanboyism some kind of competition can go jump in a lake whilst wearing iron boots, Legend of Zelda style.
I hope both Avengers and Bats make oodles of cash. I want both to be absolutely excellent and entertaining.
If both helmers, previous work is ANY indication, fans as well as the GA will be in for a treat.
Trailers are cool and all, but even the GL trailer gave me a false (albeit tiny) sense of hope about it, so this whole Advert comparison is just FOLLY.
I want TDKR to do AMAZING so Warner is further given a nudge to take better care of their properties.
Ditto the Avengers, I'd love to see Marvel take a chance with other characters and a great performance will encourage that. It also might give Warner the added "want" to get their superteam movie going.

I see some comments and STILL am just...I dunno. It's frustrating.
I mean..let's at LEAST WATCH the COMPLETED FILMS BEFORE JUMPING ON THE "AVENGERS/TDKR IS GONNA BE TEH SUX" bandwagon.
"Your" movie has "emotional content" and "zeitgeist" and *insert buzzword* etc?
That's great.
Is gonna be better than mine? Nah.
My films have that too. Alien invasions, Flaming Skulls, Spider Bites, Power Rings, Bat-Signals, and Enchanted Hammers to boot.
I get to sort out which bits worked and which didnt afterwords. I take the good with the bad, but the bottom line is, I LOVE THAT MY PLAYGROUND IS BIGGER.
Some Peeps just seem content to draw a line in the sand, stand behind it and remain there, all the while the rest of us frolicking all around, happily, crudely drawn line be damned.
It just gets annoying when one of the line drawing kids starts spastically throwing sand at the other kids having fun.
