It's a pretty popular show amongst kids and older fanfic writers. :o

Yes, the animated series is pretty awesome and I do enjoy watching it because it has some brains behind it. It deals with complicated themes in a way that children can get and learn from. I absolutely adore that show.

Unfortunately the movie was awful.

It basically took all that was great about the animated series and dumbed it down. It's like M. Knight just jotted down the briefest of notes while watching the show with his daughter and decided to add some pretty inane crap to it.

Wow LOVE the new Ultra Hi-res pics Big G!!!

Yeah older pics higher res versions.

HEADS up Avengers fans Walmart had these out like a WEEK before Xmas for 30 bucks they were marked down to $14.90 at my Walmart here!!!

Midnight showings are always exciting. Didnt know how many nerd there were in my town until everyone was wearing a captain america shirt to the midnight showing. Same for wolverine

I was pissed that my boss screwed up the schedule at work and I ended up having to do a shift that prevented me from seeing Cap at a midnight screening. I had managed to see Thor, XM:FC..even GL at midnights this year but was outta luck with Cap.:csad:

I jump on my bosses butts when they don't put me at Special screenings to guard. I saw Thor on Thorsday because of that :D

The thing is that I had put in to have that day off more than a month in advance but my new boss just forgot to check the calendar the requests were on. I wanted to smack him.

I saw Cap during the midnight showing opening night and it was a blast.

I'm more curious how many people will actually see Avengers. I mean Cap here was obivoiusly popular because there are Militray bases here, but, not everyone here was interested in seeing Thor or TIH

I'm sure the Avengers will have great attendance especially early on.

I'm sure that it will with it being the First movie of it kind. I most excited for that idea alone. lol

with it being the First movie of it kind

With the way films go in trends i'm surprised that The Avengers hasn't gotten more press in relation to this very point. I mean we are in a period of cinema where comic book characters are the main blockbuster films to be made and this will be the first film that attempts to tie several successful franchises into one and NOT have it be a spoof but a serious piece of film.

I think that it would work really well for The Avengers if more press outlets commentated on this idea because it's a damn interesting one, Marvel Studios isn't spoon feeding the audience, it hasn't been obvious in each individual film that something big is coming unless you stay until the end for the 'Thor will return in The Avengers' or the post-credits scene. That's a pretty interesting risk for a company to do especially when so much is at stake.

I reckon that the press could have a huge impact on getting people, who don't necessarily watch action/sci-fi films but enjoy cinema, into seats by exploring the idea that this is the first serious ensemble film for a comic book, and i'm not sure, (so correct me if i'm wrong) but any genre of film.

Universal did it with their monster movies. They had a Dracula, Frankenstein, Werewolf cross over.

Awesome, i'm assuming that was back in the 40's?

Even so this is still the first modern day ensemble right?
