Exactly! Another thing I'm wondering about is how will Loki's use of magic be shown? In Hulk Vs. Thor there were these glowing green symbols when Loki and the Enchantress used their spells to keep the Hulk controlled. In Thor, the most I saw Loki do was multiply, create decoys, and disguise himself. I'm hoping for more intricate scenes of magic use that weren't touched on in the first movie.

Also, flight or at least teleportation. So far Loki's been shown using the back of a pickup truck and a hovercraft as transport in the Avengers. I keep wondering why someone like Loki would need to use a truck as transport but I'll wait until the movie before I jump to any conclusions.

You took my initial words out of context, however I apologize for not being specific enough. When I said he holds that spot, you assumed I meant villains in general. I didn't. You then assumed I meant EVERY type of CBM when we've obviously been on the subject of live-action CBMs this entire time. How has he not set a record? No one's reached that point yet, besides Mystique who basically comes in a 2 for 1 package deal with him.

It seems like you just want to argue for the sake of arguing.

lex has 4 live action appearances, as does catwoman (or at least she will come summer) and at least she had the decency to put all of hers in different continuities. my point is magneto having 4 isn't special.

sure, magneto co-holds the record for most appearances of a villain in a single franchise featuring the x-men between the years of 1999 and 2012 with mystique.

BTW, I think at least Hugh Jackman holds a record: the same guy playing the same superhero in 5 films (X-Men 1-3, Wolverine 1+2) and 1 cameo appearance (first class).

depends on your definition of superhero. if we're going to contain ourselves to series sharing the same canon featuring characters from american superhero comic books published by dc, marvel, dark horse, or image comics then yes, hugh holds that title

I've always been in favor of more magic use from Loki. Not necessarily flying, because I haven't really seen him fly a lot in the comics I've read. He's more of the 'appears from the shadows behind you' type imo.

But certainly more illusions and mind-trickery style of magic are welcome, for sure.

It is special when it's ONE single film continuity. How is Catwoman showing up in different continuities as opposed to just one "decent"? I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but "decent" doesn't seem like the right word for it. She's also not being counted because those appearances were not all in a single continuity. Lex has 4 legitimate live action appearances in one film continuity since Superman Returns was loosely connected to the Donner films, however Magneto will still have more appearances and therefore set a record.

There's nothing to debate over here, just some simple facts.

In a few years when Magneto makes his return you'll see!

I've seen Loki fly quite few times in the comics, he even flew quite a bit in Avengers:EMH.

I would love to see Loki perform some rapid teleporting dodging multiple attacks, I'd also like to see Loki manipulate the enviroment around him to use offensively.

There's no need to correct anything in my mind when reality does the work for me. The chances of Lex outdoing Magneto in appearances are low. Even if he appears in Man of Steel next year, that's a new continuity so it won't go towards his 4 appearances in SR and the Donner films. First Class' sequel will have Magneto in it, and since they're loosely connected to the original trilogy then his appearances will go up to 5.

I still don't get what you mean by her appearances by them being 'decent'. Sure she didn't 'monopolize a franchise', but she shouldn't even be referred to since she's obviously not in the category that we're discussing.

I'm guessing his issue with finding his place and seeing humans as being meant to be ruled, ... i'm guessing those things overthrew his dislike for thor.
Since the two seperated at the end of the last movie, maybe he didnt even expect thor to show up, with the bifrost destroyed and all.

Odin takes it upon himself to bring peace to the nine realms, one would think that making peace and protecting the 9 realms would be easier with a more powerful weapon.
