I retract my statement after the last three seemingly great suggestions.

Well done, guys. That's more like it.

Third below.

Not bad. Not bad at all. Both of the above are extremely Bruce Wayne.

Alternately, he might make a pretty sweet Jason Todd:

But dude, those eyes, seriously.
That guy has pure Joker all over him lol

Thanks for putting up with my bad mood yesterday and standing up for your suggestion. I think I'm open to him as a choice now because you got me to take a harder look.
This by far my fav Bat like shot lol

So this is crazy, but here it is: Collin Farrell for bats.

Sooo.... Cast him, maybe?

i remember someone else suggesting that , forget who :P

maybe have sam rockwell as the joker and give christopher walken a cameo as a "max shreck / batman returns " reference and tom waits as the mad hatter and it'd be a big ol' seven psychopaths reunion ? :oldrazz:

yes, i know, terrible idea.

What about Rob James-Collier? Even though he does kind of resemble a vampire.

seriously though.... i can't help but think of how awesome tom waits would be as the mad hatter .

i can see it now : him in a darkly lit room at his " tea party ", with dead children/loopy-from-mind-control-victims of his all gathered around the table , psychotically rambling and mumbling random quotes from lewis carroll writings while petting his rabbit, seven psychopaths style :oldrazz:

personality wise i'd envision it to be sort of a mix between his renfeild , his seven psychopaths character and ... basically how tom waits usually is . lol

Physical features are irrelevant. Bale looks nothing like the generic square jawed Bruce from the comics. Nor did Keaton. If they go through with the godawful idea of rebooting Bats via a JL movie, here's hoping that their casting standards are based on acting ability, not looks.

Obviously. But bearing a resemblance doesn't exactly hurt anything either.

(Also, Bale evokes a number of things from some of the books, especially in the eyes.)

1. Why not both?

2. Christian Bale only lacked the square jaw. He had dark hair, brooding eyes and the correct demeanour. He was also tall and proved he could pull off the physicality of the role in American Psycho and Equilibrium. Hardly "nothing like" him.

Bale also had chiseled features, which is more important really than having a square jaw.

Here's my current dream cast.

Batman/Bruce Wayne - Joshua Jackson
Does brooding very well, capable actor as Fringe fans will know, 6"2, right age group, was apparently considered by Nolan before so maybe he will get lucky second time round like Cavill did.

Commissioner Gordon - Mark Harmon
Very seasoned actor and this comes across in his work. Has a kind & approachable, but serious manner which would be perfect for Gordon IMO

Alfred Pennyworth - John Hurt
Michael Caine played such a fantastic Alfred that it would really take an actor of similar calibre to play the role again, I feel Hurt would fill his shoes just fine.

The Joker - Crispin Glover
Anyone trying to emulate Ledger's Joker will never top it, so I feel the only solution is to play the Joker closer to the original comic one, which was a little different in execution to how Ledger did it. That Joker is weird, kooky, chilling, and I think Glover gives off all these vibes. He's always been my favourite for the role after Ledger. He has good acting chops too.

Catwoman/Selina Kyle - Rachel Weisz
Attractive, alluring, great actress.

Riddler - Benedict Cumberbatch

I think as an actor he exudes intelligence, but also a kind of creepiness. There's also been a lot of hype about his performance as a villain on the upcoming Star Trek film. I could definitely see him playing the Riddler.

Two-Face - Viggo Mortensen
The role of two-face is a tricky one as the actor has to play 2 extremes - the noble and good natured Harvey Dent and his much crueler and malevolent alter ego. He also needs maturity. Viggo Mortensen is one of the best actors in Hollywood and there's no doubt he could pull it off.

Nice casting!!!

Sean Faris as Batman. lol

Thats almost as bad as the Paul Rudd as Batman costume
