If you didn't post that very short synopsis at the beginning, I honestly would've had no clue what this was about. It's so random and boring. Incredibly unfunny too.

Most people followed the story quite easily.

Fair enough, thats your opinion. To be honest I don't think many people shared it, but obviously there's no way of saying whats funny and whats not so I guess I have to settle with 'eh'. If you'd given me some actual feedback I could do the same.

Thanks for watching though.

What I meant was valuable time was wasted. For example, rather then having some quick and funny lines at the beginning and developing chemistry between the 2 characters we just see the two characters looking at each other and watching TV for how many seconds? No fun puns, no quick one liners, boring and flat chemistry...if any chemistry.

IMO. :)

That I just disagree with.

That entire sequence is a joke. You have the big, giant, Hollywood opening/build-up then you suddenly cut to two guys watching a sitcom looking like idiots. They're watching tv for a bunch of seconds because it plays with the audience expectations that the entire film is going to have those Hollywood sweeps and quick cuts, then reveals it isn't the case at all, setting the tone for the rest of the picture with mostly static cameras. There aren't any puns because the film is from then on 'in reality', and watching the sitcom with the canned laughter was a little ironic joke of itself.

I actually find it interesting though that while most people pick that out as the best bit (it got the biggest laugh when I screened it) you actively highlighted it as something you disliked. 'You can't please everyone' is so true, especially when it comes to whats funny and whats not.

Honestly I get the feeling you never gave this film a chance. (The fact you didn't mention a single thing you liked and instead just crapped on it.) Either you didn't enjoy the first 30 seconds and decided you wouldn't like the rest, or (more probable) you saw the words "Batman" and "comedy" and associated it with people taking a dump on comic book characters/their fans when if you watch the film, that isn't the case at all. It's my love letter to comics, I could quite easily have dressed them up as something else but I wanted all of those little in-jokes like the Batusi in there.

What kind of TV shows do you find funny? And how old/what nationality are you, if you don't mind me asking?

The whole idea is cool, and the scene "I came to finish my paint" made me laugh, also the scene: "I feel like an idiot, I'll take it off" - "No! You look just fine...besides there where quite expensive" as good to.

And your British, and I'm half British but I watch "our" comedies and they make me laugh so I guess people from differn't countries don't get it ;]

To each his own. It just didn't make me laugh. There's always one guy who'll dislike something and I guess it's me this time :oldrazz:

Okay, I watched it again. I thought the part when one of the "Batmen" were lip singing to that song in the bar was funny.

Yeah, the kind of arkward stuff is what makes me laugh, like "Can we at least get capes? 'cause we'll just look stupid like this." And the really weak hi-5, stuff like that is what I enjoy in the film. And I really sound like I'm tooting my own horn (I in no way think the film is great, just good) but its really interesting to me how every person who see's it likes it for a different reason.

Batman is this great American hero and these 2 stuffy English guys are dressed as him, yeah. I made a slight reference to this at the end, the whole "I'm gonna puke" is in an American accent if you listen carefully. But to be honest, I don't think its so much "culture vs culture" or that British humour is 'smarter' or anything like that, I think age plays a bigger part in it. I show it to 13 year olds they go "lol look at them dancin" or "i love the bit where he tells his mate to f*** off" you know? Whereas guys my age and older kind of appreciate the more subtle stuff.

Well, thank you. That was just one of those random unplanned things that I thought would be funny at the time. And your completely right above, its impossible to try pleasing everyone.
