You're right. That is exactly what I thought when I saw the cap suit, hundred times better. I wondered how could have somebody designed this in less time with probably less money than the DK suit but still it looks more like something the military would design, and it looks more mobile.
Yeah no kidding. It looks exactly like something a real life Batman would wear. It looks like a war uniform that could have protective shields between the layers. This is so much better than making Batman look like a life-sized action figure for the hundredth time.

I just have to believe that the next director will go in a different direction. If we get another rubber suit in the next film, I can't be held responsible for what I will do.

How about a black suit with a dark grey belt and a dark grey oval?

This could work, but I would prefer a reverse of that color scheme with a minimalist black bat in lieu of an oval.

I always hated how everything on the Batman & Robin suit was the same color. Including the utility belt and the oval badge. Ehh.

I agree about the oval. Making the oval the same color as the bat makes the oval completely redundant. I did like the black utility belt.

Figured out how to remove the star but still can't seem to add a bat effectively.

Great work man. I hope you don't mind but I added an oval badge to your manip.

Black belt works just fine. Good work.

thanks. I feel the same. In Batman Begins there was never any reason for the belt being yellow, he took the time to paint the entire suit black but not the belt?. Not that there has to be a reason, and it did'nt look bad. I just feel if someone were actually to do an ultra realistic Bat film there might not be a yellow belt.

I don't mind at all, I was hoping somebody would do that. That is awesome. Thanks. Do you have a version with the head still on in case I learn how to do a head replacement and cape?

The Manila are very well done, I won't deny, but I loathe the all black design. Especially on a more form fitting suit.

I love both looks, and I like alternating them to keep things fresh (though, if I could have only one, it would be the black bat).

Agreed.

I actually wouldn't mind a black belt - especially if they go with the black-and-gray trunkless look. A yellow belt without the trunks just looks weird to me.

Same here.

What shade of grey should they use for a movie suit?

Charcoal.

Hey everybody, in your opinion could the blue and grey Batsuit with yellow oval work in live action without looking "campy"?

The blue would have to be really dark.

Tried to manip the MOS costume awhile back, didnt come out so well

I think it'd look better if it were gray instead of black. Good job, though.

Would it be possible for someone to exchange a bat for that star on his chest and do a cowl and cape on this?
I don't have the skill. And I dont know what to do with the shield, maybe cover it with the cape. I tried but the results were bad.

That looks really good! :wow:

Yeah, for a suit that isn't made of rubber, I'd probably go with a gray and black color scheme.

My own manip but same image. Still working on it. The cape is going to be a pain. Hopefully I could snatch it from a TDk promotional image. And I'm still wondering how I should do the neck piece.

My own manip but same image. I added the Arkham City cowl (wow, it looks great!) however I'm making a couple adjustments. The neck brace was something I quickly colored but I'll add something better later on. The cape will definitely be tough as hell, I might try to snatch it from a TDK promotional image.

This image has single-handedly sold me on the idea of a live action Batman wearing grey.As a first choice I would want black but if something like this was used I would be very happy. And once again this is way better than the DK outfit, possibly better than BB. Just more believable. Now when you guys start arguing for grey I will listen more!

This page is so full of win I can barely stand it.

You better because more is on the way. ;)

Same here. I was extremely surprised by the way it turned out. I thought a plain gray attire would look extremely boring. I updated the image. I love how the cowl, gloves and boots are black yet they blend perfectly with the suit. This is to everyone that said "a comic accurate Batman would look unrealistic and silly". I'll try to fix the cowl later so it could look less video game-ish.

Add 3 spikes to each arm gauntlet, remove the white on the shoulders, and along with the other fixes you plan to make (neck, cape), we've got a winner.

I would even go slightly darker with the grey just to see how it looks. Not black, but a tad darker.

Yeah, darken the grey some more.

I almost forgot about the spikes, thanks. the cape is going to hang over the shoulders so it should cover the white lines. Little update. I'll make the suit slightly darker next time.

you're getting a lot of requests so I thought I would drop some also:
consider having the cape cover that shield and if possible please give us the large HQ version when you are done, if thats the one you are still working on. Awesome work!
