This was before my time on SHH...can someone enlighten me about the "Blurple"?

On the image posted above posters couldn't agree on blue or purple for the colouring. It was as exciting as it sounds.

I don't see why bronze knuckles would upset people. It'll barely be visible in the film, if at all.
It's like a stain on an otherwise perfectly clean suit. It may seem insignificant compared to the whole, and it may very well be, but when you know it's there it just sorta annoys the hell out of you.

Can anyone brighten it up? I'm terrible with photoshop.

Just hold control on your keyboard and use the mouse wheel to zoom in/out.

My guess is that the metal parts of the suit are in fact made of brass or bronze with black over the top.

Bronze on the belt, not on the knuckles or fins. You can see the outline on the fins where the concept art has it colored bronze, but it looks black/steel colored now and has scratches so it's clearly reflective. If there is any bronze there it's incredibly dark and that would defeat the purpose I think.
You're preaching to the choir here... I tried not to see bronze in those fins. I do not want there to be bronze in them fins. But for as much as I want there not to be, I can't say there's not some bronze.

Ah, gotcha.

Didn't say you weren't, but if you have to look that hard for it, it's likely just a tint, not full on bronze. They still look like a steel color of some sort. Maybe to reflect some rust as it's a batsuit that has been around for a bit clearly. If it were clearly bronze we'd have all been saying that from the first day we saw it don't you think?
That's the thing though, I'm not trying hard to see the bronze; I'm trying hard not to see the bronze. I saw the black on that first day because I didn't want to see the bronze, but now I'm not so sure. Trust me, I want to be in the absolutely not bronze camp. But I don't think we can say that based on what we've seen up till now.

Haha, I know what you're seeing, I see it too! But it's just not enough evidence until we see more or can get someone to brighten up that shot. I'm more inclined to believe it's a tint more than full on bronze like the belt.
If you've ever seen a bronze statue, especially one in a public area, it will have a dark patina and bright areas where people have rubbed the surface. The buckle might be brighter because of the frequent handling to open and close it.

Ok, I'm going to bed... 'cuz I just way over thounked that!

I still can't get over how amazon the DoJ suit is. It brings a tear to my eye...

Having read the last few pages, I have decided that I now hate all of you. I am going to wait until you are asleep then burn down the Hype.

Not a fan of the bronze fins and knucks. If they are I doubt you'll be able to tell it on screen.

let's make something clear;

there really hardly is anything bronze to see in the trailer [perhaps the belt, though we'll have to see more to be certain], and indeed in the supposed suits that are shown [ all three together ], there is indeed no 'bronze' on the knuckles and gauntlets etc.

i was simply reffering to the promo art, which without a single doubt did have bronze accents. Remembering somebody shown a cosplay suit of the supposed new batman suit, that one actually did have these EXACT bronze accents [thought it was bright golden in the cosplay].

meanwhile, i started wondering whether it might finally do come out in the movies but ever so slightly faded and desaturated, even though i forget about the shown fiberglass/resin models which had zero brass.

going back to the promo art, regarding the 'mech suit'......obviously first of all, it's straight out of the comic book representation and it's totally awesome. I also realised, that it looks - offcourse - very armoured. I kinda feel the previous Nolan suits kinda look like skinny versions of this suit, though not as well executed.

What i'd like to see is how the mech suit looks like without the white glowing eyes. not that there's anything wrong with that, just curious.

in any case, i think this looked like the coolest batsuit ever when it came out,
and i still think it looks genuinly amazing.

The thing about the snyder-suit i like is that it has a more 'fabric' look, or less-armored look to it. like batman is coming at you full brawn not scared and ready to just wipe his *ss with you.

it looks more powerfull than a suit with 'muscle effects'.

though i like the new batlogo on the chest of the snyder suit, it's a bit too....fat imho. i would rather see a bit more sharper defined 'bat' lines on the logo, but it's rather nitpicking.

i'm fine with the snyder suit because it really is rediculously cool.

I really like the Origins suit too but...man those body proportions were wack.

:sleepy:

what a beautiful morning

Having read the last few pages, I have decided that I now hate all of you. I am going to wait until you are asleep then burn down the Hype.

:shock

It's still here... it's still here!

:O

You guys are still debating this? You are genuinely insane.

And I love you all for that. :woot:

Same level of detail huh? Haha. You're right, they didn't put any kind of detail in this at all.... :whatever:

Proximo is right, those are statues. Damn good statues based on the actual suit.
How would they fit mannequin hands in the gloves while closed? Most times when a suit is displayed on a mannequin the head is straight and the hands are open and the suits are a poor fit with weird poses. The creases are also different. It's a statue.

When WB store their complete batsuits in the archives or put them in an exhibit they are always on the bodycast of an actor. The same bodycast the suits were sculpted on and fitted around. Whenever they do a exhibit with an actual BvS batsuit it will be no different, it will be on a bodycast of Ben very much like the one seen in the batcave photo.

All I've said is, even though the statue they made to represent the suit is molded of a screen used suit. It does not mean the finish (color) is exactly like the screen used suits. By that, IMO, you can't take face value by something that is not used in the movie, you go by something that is used in the movie. And we have the picture of the suit from the batcave and the trailer showing a consistent look.

I believe what I see on the photos from the movie itself more than a statue made for promotion use.

I personally hope it's just the lighting that causes the thumb knuckle to appear bronze. I really prefer the belt to be the only bronze colored part of the suit.
